Ben, helped by Poe, locked the door. Suddenly, the noise and fury that came from the forecourt where resistance fighters arrived, stopped. Poe shuddered. The building was cold, seemed deserted. The atmosphere was heavy suddenly. While the moment before they had no time to think, too busy in the battle to move towards this building, they were now alone, without daring to move.

- I have a bad feeling about this, said Poe.

Ben does not say anything. He could feel Rey's signature around him, as well as a dark aura, an unbalanced Force energy. He knew something was happening, and he was on his guard.

- We have to move, Poe urged. Where are we going?

Ben felt he had to follow the long corridor in front of him. Two other corridors left on each side, but he was not supposed to go.

- We're going there, he pointed out with his saber still on.

Poe did not ask a question, he followed Ben's footsteps. Their footsteps echoed in the stone corridor, which was getting darker and darker. The few openings diffusing a little light were more and more invaded by white ashes.

Arrived at a heavy wooden door closed, they stopped.

- She's here, Ben whispered.

No sooner had he uttered these words than they froze when they heard Rey's howl behind the door.

- I confirm she is here! shouted Poe.

He rushed to the door and tried to push it. But it resisted. Ben came to help him but the door did not move. Poe put away his blaster and rushed screaming towards the door. Ben saw him do it. "Pretentious" he thought as he saw the pilot crashing against the door. But Poe had his head, or shoulder in this case, hard. He rushed a second time and crashed the same way, on a door that does not even shudder.

Holding his shoulder, he glared at Ben.

- Will you help me?

- It's locked, obviously.

- Thank you, but I repeat: you intend to do something? She needs us!

Ben ignored him superbly and concentrated on the door. He reached for it and Poe saw him grab something in his hand. He seemed to be turning something in his fist. Then Poe, frowning, realized. He heard the sound of a bar falling to the ground behind the door, then Ben, sweating, pushed it with the Force.

Finn did not scream. It does not emit the slightest sound when falling. He did not want to please Hux, despite the pain that tore him in two. Above all, he did not feel the burning of the blaster so much as the pain he felt when he saw Rose fall.

Laying down against the window, he saw Rey, he looked at her eyes. There he read her pain, and he regretted so much every moment they could have spent together, he and Rey, and he and Rose.

He managed to turn his head before losing consciousness, to look at Rose one last time. She was there, eyes open on another world, a tear of blood at the corner of her eye. On the ground, behind Hux. Rose was not as precious to Hux as Finn. He had not spared her. She had fallen on her back, and had died even before touching the ground, a blaster shot in her heart. Finn screamed, but it did not change anything.

Rose was gone, and he had just lost one of the most important people in his life. He did not struggle when his eyes closed, determined to join her.

When Poe entered the room, he saw Rey crying, eyes raised. Seeing immediately that she was not hurt, he followed her gaze and saw the trail of blood on the window. He saw Finn's closed face, and understood, guessing Hux standing behind him.
