"I-I can't." I breathe, shakily. Nicole, my sister, raises her eyebrows.

"You can't what?" she asks, warily.

"I can't be who you want me to be. I'm broken, and I can't just fix myself." I point.

"I'm not trying to fix you, and I know you're broken. I'm simply just trying...to be by your side through this. I don't want you to feel alone?" she explains.

"But I was alone!" I snap, squeezing my eyes shut. A memory of me crying all alone in my room races into my vision. I feel something grab my hand, and I open my eyes. She was holding my hand.

"But you're not anymore! I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you." she argues.

"But I'll just let you...down." I choke out, tears sprouting out of nowhere.

"You could never let me down. I'll never be disappointed with you. Never."

"How can I believe that?"

"Believe me. Believe in me. As long as you believe this can work, it will."

"But if I don't? If I don't believe that it can work then it won't?"

"No, it will. It will just take longer for you to recognize it. That's all."
