Chapter 12

Charlene's POV

I swear she's staring at me again. I'm not kidding, that Obitus girl was staring at me all throughout the Slytherin tryouts, even though I was only there for Ebony, who wanted to be beater. She managed to get the position by the way, but Obitus kept staring at me and whenever I turned my head to check if she was, she would quickly look in the other direction, even if it there was nothing really to look at. Us Slytherins are pretty observant if I haven't told you already. I don't even know why she was there, I just figured she was friends with someone there even though I've never really seen her hang around any of them.

I quickly congratulated Ebony on getting on the team before quickly going to the girls bathroom to drink the potion I'd need to get to my muggle school.

Ebony's POV

Whoopie! I made the team! I was so happy! Our first match wasn't for a bit but our team captain wanted us to start practicing tomorrow evening. I can't wait to finally do some sport, I honestly don't know how so many people manage to stay thin in this place. Well I know Lolita goes on a lot of dates that revolve around walking around the castle, but I've never really seen Charlie exercise. Huh.

Anyway, it was barely midday so I decided it would be the best idea to chill out in front of the lake and watch the giant squid swim around, maybe gliding to the surface once in a while. It even jumped straight out of the water once and I got splashed, but all in all it was really relaxing.

I headed up to my dorm, where Charlie was sitting, her face stuffed with homework. I decided it'd be best to leave her be. She tends to get pretty annoyed when anyone disrupts the silence in the room. As I left, I heard a distinctive bark, you know, like a dog. I turned around to see Charlie glaring at a younger student, who, as soon as he realized what he had done, ran away blushing to the boys dorm. She rolled her eyes and continued with her Maths while I continued back to my bed.
