Charlene's POV

I left the great hall in a hurry, scouring everywhere to find someone. Ebony had said that she was getting her stuff of off Jasper but it had been at least half an hour and she still isn't here. At least I'm not the late one. Thankfully my stuff was still on the train so all I had was a small bag, with Vicky concealed inside. I'd had a long debate about whether or not I'd tell her, with Vicky chiming in at certain points. I'd finally decided that if she asked about it, I'd tell her. She has been through quite a lot so I don't want to bring it up.

" Charlie!!! " A familiar voice yelled from behind me. I looked back to see Ebony struggling to carry a suitcase with Jasper effortlessly carrying two, one of which was balanced on his shoulder.

" You know you can use a spell for that, right? " I pointed out. I noticed some sweat on Ebony's temple. I moved to her side as to stay further away from Jasper.

" All my efforts... " She panted, " Will not go to waste! "

Jasper chuckled.

" Here, let me have a try. " I offered. It was a relatively small case, I think I could take it.

" Go for it. " She said, letting go of the handle.

I went over to it and tried moving it. " How stuff are the wheels on this thing?! " I said.

" They're a luxury. I had to carry this thing down from the Ravenclaw common room, that's six flights of stairs! Couldn't they have put it anywhere else?! " She said.

Now I'd never thought of myself as a particularly strong person and Ebony's a head taller than me so I didn't know what compelled me to try to pick that thing up. I could barely lift it off the ground, never mind carry it. " What do you even have in here? Rocks?!" I asked her.

" Close, books. " She said. " This years textbooks weighed a lot. "

" I can tell! " I said. How did she drag this down six flights of stairs? I took out my wand. " I give up. Wingardium Leviosa! " I chanted, making the suitcase float just above my head.

" Let's get to the train, it's empty here. " Jasper said. I noticed that there weren't a lot of people in the hall anymore. I guess Jasper noticed too.

" Yeah, let's go. " Ebony said.

We managed to get on the train just before it left. We looked around for a seat for ages before settling in an empty compartment which happened to be next door to our old one, which was closed off. It's outside window had been completely removed. I noticed that there were still scratch marks on the glass separating us and the compartments next door. I sat in the corner furthest away from it. Ebony sat down next to me with Jasper choosing a seat across from us.

" You two already know each other, right? " Ebony said. " Jasper told me about everything that you guys went through. " Ebony said.

"Yeah. " I replied simply. A knock on the door saved me from any other Jasper related questions.

" You mind if we join you? " Sera said. Mia and Derek were behind her. I was glad to see my brother, but then again..

" Would you care if I did? " I retorted with my usual icy tone towards her. Jasper nodded at them, letting them know they could. Sera and Derek sat next to Jasper while Mia sat next to Ebony.
