Seraphina's POV:
"Excuse me. Pardon me. Making my way through." I budged past people on my way to charms class. Eventhough there was a lot of people, it some how seemed like less.
"Watch where you're going!"
I had accidently bumped into Charlene. "I'm sorry, it was an accident."
"Well next time, watch where you're going!" Spite was evident in her voice.
I was about to walk away from the Malfoy twin that I didn't like, when she grabbed hold of me and turned me around.
"Hey! Have you seen my brother lately?"
"No, sorry." I wrenched myself away and sped up. I was gonna be late.
---------------
"Thank god that was the last class of the day! I'm so tired. Maria, Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain, worked us so hard yesterday! Ugh!"
"Ludis is quite hard on us as well, but I don't think he's as bad as Maria. Unless you're over exagerating, which is very much like you."
"Hey! Anyway, what's the Charms homework? Thank merlin we have it together."
"To practise the Engorgement Charm."
"Oh, I've got that spell down! No charms homework for me!" Mia sang.
"But you've still got Potions, transfiguration and others from classes we don't share."
"I know... I'm gonna do as much as I can tonight, than the rest tomorrow."
"Right..." I stopped concentrating and started thinking about the one thing I was trying to avoid thinking about.
Derek.
Was he okay? What had happened to him? Will he ever come back to the school?
I sighed and miserably made my way down stairs and to the common room.
"Bye!"
"Bye." I smiled and muttered in reply.
I tapped the rhythm onto the barrels and a passage way opened up in front of me. I climbed in and entered the cosy, comfy room. Light from out side was coming through the windows, drowsing the room in a golden glow.
I went up to the window and looked out. If I turned my head just the right way, I could see the starts of the Forbidden Forest.
I tore myself away, and instead, I opened the door to my room.Sitting on the opposite bed was Elia. She looked up and smiled that wide smile of hers.
"Hi Seraphina! How are you? I heard you're on the quidditch team! Are you a chaser? Like your dad? Merlin! your dad is like the best player ever! I still can't believe i'm rooming with his daughter! Ah!" Yep. This was what it was like all the time. Elia is a nice person, just a little hyper, over bearing and excited. Like, all the time.
"Hey Elia. I'm good thank you. And i'm seeker actually. Chaser's not really my thing."
"That's so cool! Can I watch you play?"
"Yeah, if you come to practises."
"Thank you!" She ran over and gave me a hug. I don't even know why. "You're so nice! A lot of people actually don't like me. My friends, most are not in Hufflepuff, say I can get a little too excited and over bearing some times."
"You?! Over bearing? Never!" Oh my merlin. Why was I lying?
"Aw! Thanks so much! Anyway, I've got to go, bye!"
"Bye!"
