Chapter 43

Seraphina's POV:

I gathered the book up in my arms and rushed out of Scrivenshaft's to go tell Charlene and Jasper what we'd found. I pushed the door open, Mia following behind me, and ran down the street towards Honeydukes. Mia stopped me, grabbing on to my arm. "Mia, what-" I started.

"They're not in Honeydukes anymore. They left just before you came out of the bookshop." She pointed at a far off bakery. "They're in there now."

"Oh. Thanks." I turned around and started running in the other direction.

Jasper saw me running through the window and quickly becane concerned. He opened the door. "Is everything okay?"

I nodded and stepped past him into the bakery, making my way to the table he had previously been sat at with Charlene. Jasper let Mia inside as well and they quickly joined a scowling Charlene and I at the table. I plonked the tattered book down with a bang and saw Mia flinch at it out of the corner of my eye. "Mia and I think we've found the curse that the dark wizard put on everyone." I stated and started flipping the pages. "And the cure. We think we've found the cure." I added, stopping on the correct page and turning the book around so Jasper and Charlene could see it propally.

"Merlin's beard!" Jasper exclaimed, staring at the book in surprise.

"It's in Latin." Charlene deadpanned. "How do you know, if you can't read Latin?"

Mia showed them the Latin-English dictionary. "Found it in Scrivenshaft's."

"So, what is the cure?" Jasper asked.

"A potion. We have the instructions on the next page." I said, smiling in excitement.

Jasper cringed. "Regretfully, potions is not my strongsuit."

"It is mine though." Mia grinned. "All we need to do is get the ingredients! Which shouldn't be hard concidering where we are."

We all started to run to the door.

"Or," Charlene started, from the table. "We could wait for the adults to come pick us up, and give the book to them?"

I paused, my hand on the handle, Mia and Jasper behind me. "There's no harm in starting the potion though, is there?" I said, and I pushed the door open.
