Honestly, I had never even dreamt of this. To be able to come to Korea, meet my favourite idol, fall in love with him and not forgetting dating him. He was like the dream of many girls and a dream that I did not dare to harbour. But yet, on Christmas, he had kissed me and told me he loved me. Seriously, everything else that happened became a blur...

We went skiing again for the next two days. It was my new found hobby which I had not gotten sick of. I got braver and even dared to try on the most advanced intermediate routes. It was most amazing. And the outcome of that kiss? We stole kisses whenever and wherever we could. It was more difficult for me to kiss him than him to me since he was so much taller but that hadn't stop me either. But we had to be careful about discretion for he was after all, a star figure and I didn't want anything bad to his reputation.

We left the resort on the twenty-eight. He wanted to take me to Namiseom Island to fulfil my "dream" of completing the Winter Sonata journey. Not sure if it was more like his dream or mine...

Namiseom Island was like a little resort island by its own. It was really really cold. But after spending more than a week at the ski resort, minus twenty degree Celsius was something I got used to. Just like any Koreans, I just learnt to dress for the weather. We parked at the entrance to the island waiting for the ferry to arrive. We hid ourselves amongst the crowd near the fireplace while waiting for the ferry. It wasn't very warm but at least staying in the crowd kept us warm.

We travelled about five minutes on the ferry of which I hadn't felt it moving at all somehow before we arrived at this Narnia looking place. It was so cold that the banks of the river had frozen over leaving a layer of thin ice sitting on top.

The island, if you referred to the map, had the interesting U-shaped basin. It was actually just a small island. Min-ho told me that if you cycled around in a bicycle, it would probably take you only two to three hours to complete the entire island. There were many many 'tree lanes' where the end vanished into nothingness. Some parts of the lanes had the trees decorated with the Christmas bells and figurines. Despite the cold, I was surprised to see cute little animals around. There were squirrels which came up to you if they thought you had food for them. I had never seen squirrels before so I was pretty intriqued. There were also ducks with red beaks that walked around leisurely as if we were invisible.

There were many small little fire places around where you could stop to get warm. There were always people hoarding around them. We managed to survive through the cold stopping at only one. However, we did stopped by the hotdog booth. I just couldn't resist the hot steaming hotdog under this cold weather! A pity it was gone down into my tummy in less than three minutes...

And then we finally came to the famous Winter Sonata scene - the metesquoia tree lane. It was breath-taking beautiful. Min-ho and I tried to take our own selfies but well, since he was so tall next to me, we had much difficulty getting a decent shot. In the end, we had to ask a tourist to take it for us (in return, I offered to take it for them). Since I was pretty much of a tourist myself, she didn't 'suspected' us. But she was still quick to make a comparison.

"Your boyfriend looks like the korean star Lee Min Ho!" she told me when she returned my camera. From her accent, I could make out that she was either from Taiwan or my hometown, Singapore.
