Our plane took off at exactly five minutes past two in the early morning - probably one of the last few flights left for the day. The airport was almost emptied and freezing cold from the lack of bodies absorbing the coldness from the blasting air-conditioners. It was drizzling when we took off. Sort of like a metaphor for my crying heart.
I sat with Maine while Bernard sat with Shin in the row diagonally from her. Maine was excitedly exploring the various movie channels on the entertainment system while I simply plugged in my earphones to my Ipod. Unfortunately for me, the first song that came up was Min-ho's My Everything - a song which he had sang for me and recorded in my Ipod. My heart clenched up and a teardrop came out of my eye. I couldn't believe it was over like that. No matter how much we had loved, it couldn't beat the distance between us. This was my second break up in within three years. How pathetic could I be...
I skipped the track to the next. It was his song once again. Painful Love. I shut the Ipod off and decided to watch a movie instead. I selected Monsters University and hoped that it would cheer me.
I had no idea when I had fallen asleep but when I woke up, it was dark and quiet. Next to me, Maine had fallen asleep too. While her TV was off, mine was still blaring light. It was the light from the TV that had woke me up. I switched it off and plugged in my Ipod once again. This time, I switched to my mandarin songs playlist.
The next wake up call came when I heard commotion going on. I opened my eyes reluctantly. People were up and walking around. Looking outside, I saw the first sight of the sunrise. The whole sky was orange-red. It reminded me of the morning where Min-ho and I had spent watching sunrise on the mountain. And where we first kissed. My heart clenched up again. Oh silly heart! Too weak...! I prepared myself for breakfast when I saw the first food trolley moving in.

I loved Rome.
I loved the ancient ornaments and structures and art works by the famous legendary heroes of the art world like Michaelangelo. They were simply amazing. You couldn't believe how such works could be born in those ancient times. Where were the art geniuses in these times of age? As much as I couldn't understand art, I appreciated the beauty of the marvelous works.
The streets of boutiques were amazing too. Never in my life had I seen so many famous world brands laid on on adjacent streets such as these. Girls just went crazy at the sight of Prada, Gucci, Armani, and what not. Even though we couldn't well accord any, just by looking at them and being in the shops was wonderful enough.
We spent two days in Rome before heading to Florence. Florence was much warmer as compared to Rome but it was still pretty comfortable. We went around visiting museums and churches. The churches never failed to impress me. Each and every one was beautifully sculpted and built. And each had a different story. And of course, we did not forgot to stopover at a street restaurant for a good cup of hot chocolate street-watching, just as how we had watched so often on TV.
