The Running Man mission turned out to be alarmingly short. Only three days. Those three days in Australia. I was sadly disappointed. It had been fun working on Running Man. But definitely super tiring. They were fun people. Very fun. It was probably one of my best missions.
The rumour with Rain died down after a month, as Minho and Seo-jin had predicted. There was really nothing between me and Rain. If I could start counting the number of lines I had spoken to him, it was probably less than five.
Following Running Man, I was whizzed off to New York for an overseas assignment for one month. I had never been to the US and I was blessed to have a few days free of vacation. Of course, that was on film too, by Young-Pil. I could never break free from him.
I also had the opportunity to work on a movie shoot, a model photo shoot, a music video shoot as well as an ad shoot. The movie took me to Osaka while the music video took me to Taipei. By now, my fame was alarmingly. I was amazed that I could get this famous just by a simple variety show. It was probably due to the shoots that I had been assigned to. People were more keen to see the stars that I was working with, more likely. For the video, I worked with Super Junior -M. SJ was like one of my favourite boybands so I was really excited and nervous.
I was really shocked at how fast time flew past. A month here and a few weeks there, and that brought me almost nine months into my trainee programme. My contract would be up in another three months. As much as I was delaying in thinking about my future, I had to start planning where I could go from here. Seo-jin confidentially told me that, with my exposure to so many medias, it wasn't difficult for me to find a spot in this industry. Somebody was bound to turn up at my door with a brand new contract. Or I could very well go under the wing of Director Kang as well.
My first breakthrough came in May. Unexpectedly. Seo-jin turned up at my dorm one monday morning, bringing with him a total brand new VJ. Not the usual Young-Pil.
"This is Sung-min," he introduced. "I signed you up for a new show."
"A new show?" I looked at him suspiciously. "What new show?"
"Have you heard of WGM?"
"WGM? As in We Got Married?" I frowned.
"Bingo," Seo-jin grinned.
"What?"
"Congratulations, you are getting married," he beamed.
"What?" WGM was like another popular variety show where celebs got 'married' to each other and tried to act like a married couple for a period of time. "To who?"
