Chapter 9 : Zaid to the Rescue

Parvez is sitting in the main hall staring at the door right next to the kitchen. The door was heavy and different from rest of the doors in the house. It was a blue colour door with golden heavy wooden work. The door was locked with a Heavy Padlock. The door was dusty, and the padlock was rusted, It was an old built. It contrasted the rest of the house that was clean and shining. No servant, no member of the family or outside was allowed to even touch the door. No one ever asked anything about the door, they were not allowed. If anyone is ever caught trespassing the door with questions, the Parvez, which was always cool, returned back to his college days temper. Parvez sat there in a statue position, staring at the door. He eyes, however were not statue, they were a mixed emotion of anger, that was boiling to come out and break the door into pieces; Grief, that was to hold it and cry out loud, cry out oceans; and then it was helplessness, that wanted to shout out for help, that wanted to run away from the mess that the door carried.

However, before he could think of anything, his chain of thoughts was broken by a sudden greeting, "Hello Uncle!"

"Oh! Arun, Come on!" greeted Parvez and added, "Zuhaan is in his room, taking bath most probably and Zaid is not home", "Yes Uncle, I have had a talk with both of them. Zaid is on his way home", replied Arun. Their conversation did not need formality. The three friends of his sons were like family to Zaid and Parvez.

"Excuse me Uncle" said Arun, when he received the call on his phone

After Arun received the call, he did the listening most part. The only thing that he said, turning away from Parvez, "Make sure that girl is their this time, Shiza!" and then he disconnected the call.

"Did he say Shiza? What is he up to?" asked Parvez to himself.

On the other hand, Zaid was on his way back when he got Arun's call.

"Zaid, where are you brother?" (Arun)

"On my way back home, you wait in my room I already told you" (Zaid)

"No, its okay, I have just called to inform that I am leaving. Some emergency." (Arun)

"Dude! Everything Okay?" (Zaid)

"Yes brother, nothing to worry. It's just that Rauf Elbaz" (Arun)

Immediately his thought went to Shiza

"Why? What's with them" (Zaid)

"I am sending my men again to his shop again, they did not respond. I need to make sure he gets my message. I think the old lady did not quite understand my message. I will make sure the girl is there this time." (Arun)

"GIRL? What?...Arun?? Brother?" (Zaid)

And before Zaid could ask him anything else, he hung up.

"Oh Shit, this is not good. I need to get there before his men do", Zaid told himself and turned the car towards the way to Old Allahabad.

On reaching Chawk, he straight goes to Shiza's Shop, but it seems like he is already late. Arun's men had reached there and this time it was going to be bad as Rauf was at the Shop. The Goons reach the Shop and Rauf looks at them and mistakes them for being customer and questions them, "Yes? How Can I help you?"

"By Returning you debts" threathened Man 1

"Excuse me?", asked a Confused Rauf.

"Didn't your Sister tell you about it?", inquired Man 2

"Anjum? What do you Guys want?", Asked Rauf, almost loosing it.

"Mamu?", Comes running Shiza to the Shop.

"Shiza? Child, see what these people are saying", Rauf turned to Shiza.

Before they could reveal anything to Rauf, Shiza intervenes and whispers them not to speak anything in front of him as he is a heart patient, but they push Shiza away on the floor. They start breaking the shop down, Rauf tries to stop them but one of the man slaps Rauf on the floor. Shiza runs to Rauf. Rauf on seeing his shop being broken apart, Starts to feel a pain in his chest. Shiza Runs towards the Goons and try to stop them. She begs them to stop it for the sake of her mamu. She holds Rauf covering him so that the goon beating him could not reach him. The Men did not even stop when they see Shiza, instead continue. Zaid watching it from a distance loses his cool when he sees that Shiza is being mishandled, and gets down from the vehicle in a rage. He grabs one of the men and punches him hard. Recognizing who he was, the men looked at each other in fear and left.

Zaid turns to Shiza, who is holding an unconscious Rauf and was in tears.
