Upon reaching the farmhouse, the family had the police team waiting. Everyone entered, and were furious at the cops, they had done nothing. Nobody spoke another word. Ali already had asked the gate keeper to follow them to the house and take away the police as any of the house members, were very furious to speak normally.
But Tahir Abbas was Stubborn; he was not ready to go. He was asking questions to which Ali replied.
"What makes you think we will answer you?", replied Ali
"It's just a regular police inquiry sir. We are just asking for the record", replied him. This was the statement that proved to be the threshold point for Shiza, and she lost it.
"Inquiry? Seriously?", said Shiza, who was sitting by Zuhaan's side on the sofa. She got up from her place, and moved towards him, "What Inquiry? What record?", yelled Shiza. To this Ali replied,
"A fake one Shiza, so that they can prove themselves Hero in the eyes of the locals, and save themselves from higher inquiries", said Ali then turning away, "Just to be fake heroes and save themselves".
"Sir, we were working, only if Mrs. Shiza did not react this...", as soon as Tahir said this, Shiza interrupted him with Yell, "QUITE! JUST KEEP SHUT!", said Shiza pushing Tahir Abbas. This act of Shiza shocked everyone, "Quite. Not a word! Working? You were working? MY FOOT!"
"Ma'am.."' tried speaking him
"SHUT UP!", yelled her, holding his collar.
"Shiza stop!", called Zuhaan and Ali moved forward to hold her but Shiza was furious.
"He says he was working Ali! THIS IDIOT TELLS ME HE WAS WORKING!", said Shiza still moving towards him, and then added, "IT IS NOT ZUHAAN'S LUCK, BUT YOURS THAT ZUHAAN IS NOT HARMED OR HURT", said Shiza yelling. Then moved closer to him and held both his collars, "Because if he was harmed or hurt or God forbid anything else, even if he had got a tiny scar on him. Trust me. I would have locked you and your useless gang inside your own police station and WOULD HAVE BURNED THE ENTIRE PLACE!". Ali left the hold. Every single person in the room was shocked out of their wits, including Zuhaan.
Shiza left the collar, stepped back and turned around. Took a deep breath, closed her eyes and then turned back, facing Tahir, "It would be better if you take you useless selves and leave this place", said Shiza trying to calm herself down, "NOW! GET OUT! OUT!".
The Cop left with his team, scared by Shiza's blaze, and although he was the one it was directed to, he wasn't alone who was scared. Everyone in the house was. Shiza had never spoken like this, threatening someone with life, was not something that she did. Shiza stood at the door step for a while, breathe there for a while and then turned around towards Zuhaan.
"You must be exhausted, I think you should rest Zuhaan. Please", said she, returning back to her soft self. Zuhaan, was quiet. He quietly obeyed what she said. Zuhaan was altogether in a different mood. He did not speak about the incidence of Shiza coming to save him solo, he was the one everyone expected to be the most furious, but he was quiet. He was processing and thinking. Altogether in a different zone inside his conscious as well as subconscious. Shiza and Zuhaan left the hall and went upstairs to their bedroom, while the rest were left there to wonder and think about different things and process it. They were confused, worried, angry, sad but at same time, happy and hopeful. Mixed was what they felt. Afternoon, went silent. All the sleep deprived humans were sleeping, this means, everyone. No one came out for evening-tea either, that night was going to be long, with less sleep.
Parvez and Zaid were in the garden, when Parvez was smiling. "What happened Baba?", questioned Zaid, wondering what made Parvez so happy amidst of the miseries.
