The morning rose with, what now, had become one of the usual sites in Seraj Villa; guards, cops, investigations, family and friends and Shiza waking up late again. The stress that she was in, had consumed all her energy-emotional and physical. She got up for Morning Prayer, and slept again, due to her tiredness. She got down to worrying eyes, and concerning hugs. She had seen the package yesterday that was handed to the police, by Zuhaan. She, however, had other concerns. She re-called the recording she heard yesterday, she immediately started to search for Zuhaan.
"Zaid?", she called, after she looked at each face present there, for her husband.
"Yes Shiza?", replied Zaid.
"Have you seen Zuhaan?", she asked hesitatingly
Zaid, a little not used to this question by Shiza, still replied, "He has left for the site"
"Site?", said Shiza in an alarming tone then added, "But he was not going to the office, why today?"
"No, he did not go to the office; he went to our construction site, he got a call. It was important", Zaid paused and gazed at Shiza. He was searching for the traces of fear, but he found an unusual concern in her voice. He added, "He was avoiding it, but it was urgent and important"
"OH Allah!! This is not good", said Shiza turning around, "I requested him not to leave the house, he still did", said Shiza to herself.
"You did what?", questioned Zaid, "You asked him to stay back?"
"I did not ask him, I requested him. There is a difference", emphasised Shiza. To this Zaid just looked on astonished.
However, Shiza was worried. Ashar, witnessed Shiza talking to Zaid and she was tensed, so he asked about her concerns. As, about Shiza was to answer his question, a car halted in front of the villa with a screech of tiers. Zuhaan, was brought in by two men, he was injured. There was a scar on his forehead, right arm and knee. Shiza rushed to him and without a second thought, replaced one of the men who had held Zuhaan. Zuhaan was helped to sit down, and Shiza began attending to the wounds.
"Get me the first Aid box quick and hot towel. QUICK!", instructed Shiza. The police was, however, interested in, how did the accident took place. The constable were asking questions, to which Zuhaan irritatingly replied. He was horded over, by cops, family and was bombarded with questions. This made him even more irritated, as if he was not enough annoyed with the wounds.
"Stop", yelled Shiza. She went one to add, "Can you let him breathe? He has just been in an accident". Then she turned towards the cops, she had tears in her eyes along with tremendous fear and what looked like a hint of anger, "He is not running to London tomorrow, is he? Can you do this interrogative questioning later? Can you please, for Gods sake, at least let him breathe?". For the very first time, the Seraj family had seen her loose cool, in fact, she rarely lost her cool. It was a very endangered experience for her family and friends as well. Shiza was worried and angry. For a moment it seemed as if even she was not aware of what she did or speak.
Then, in the irritated mood that she was in, she went on to attend to Zuhaans wounds, to which he irritatingly reacted, "Leave it! I am Fine". He said while trying to get up, but the usual reaction of Shiza was not to be expected today.
"Stop!", yelled she while placing him back on the sofa, literally pushing him down.
Zuhaan was astonished at this reaction of her, usually, timid wife, "I said leave", yelled him
"AND I WANT YOU TO SIT DOWN ZUHAAN!", growled Shiza in anger creating a cloud of silence in the entire hall. Shiza went on to grill him more, "Do you ever listen to anyone but yourself?", she sat down near his feet and started to apply antiseptic liquid, while still speaking, "I requested you not to leave the house until the havoc is over, but you?", she then applied some antiseptic gel, "You say you are okay? I can very well see that".
