5. The Room

Alec: Is the room ready, Clary?

Clary: All done, what do you think?

Alec: It looks good, but don't let Magnus see it. I want it to be a surprise for him.

Clary: Okay, good luck!

Alec: Thanks.

Clary left the room, and all I had to do was wait for Magnus. He was out serving another client in a different country, so I used this time to start making the baby's room. After a couple of months, Catarina did another magic scan and claimed that we were having a girl. The only thing we're still having trouble with is what to name her, I know I said that I would be in charge of that but then I decided that I would let it slide.

Magnus: Alexander, I'm home!

I got up right behind him, and put my hands on his waist.

Alec: How was your day?

Magnus: Good.

Alec: Come on, I have a surprise for you.

I put my hands over Magnus' eyes, and I walked him over to the room.

Magnus: What is this surprise?

Alec: In three, two, one!

I got my hands out of the way, and he looked in awe of the baby's room.

Magnus: Alexander...

Alec: I had everyone come over to help create the baby's room, what do you think?

Magnus: It's beautiful, I think she'll love it.
