2. Meeting Aunt Penelope

Madzie: You okay?

Rose: Yeah, I'm just relieved that I got this off my shoulders.

Madzie: Hey, don't worry about anything okay, this the first step into coming out. You're going to be fine, trust me. You already came out to my brothers, and now you're coming out to your aunt.

Rose: Yeah, I'm just trying to take this as a practice round so that way I can be ready to tell your and my parents.

Madzie: Don't worry, you're going to be fine, because I'm going to be by your side no matter what.

Rose: Thank you, Madzie, I-

Penelope: Rose, dear!

Rose turned around, and looked at a tall woman with blond hair and crystal eyes with pale skin.

Rose: Aunt Penelope!

Rose hugged her aunt, to be honest, I was shocked to see that this was her aunt. She looks nothing like what I had imagined. When they separated, Rose turned to me and introduced me to her.

Rose: Aunt Penelope, there is someone I like you to meet. This is Madzie....my girlfriend.

Penelope: Rose.....

Rose's aunt looked like she was going to cry in tears of joy.

Penelope: She's very beautiful.

Rose: Thank you, Madzie this my Aunt Penelope.

Madzie: Hi, it's really nice to meet you.

Penelope and I shook hands, and the we all sat down at our table to get to know each other.

Penelope: How long have you've been dating each other?

Rose: A few months.

Penelope: Wait, so is this what you're parents talking about....with the.....'boy'?

Rose: Yeah....look the reason I wasn't going to tell you at dinner was because my parents would be there and-

Penelope: You don't need to explain, I know it's hard to come out of the closet. I know, I had to face that when I figured out that I'm bi-sexual.

Rose: Did my mom accept you?

Penelope: I....It took some time for her understand, she may not like the idea of me being bi, but at least she understood the fact that this was my life and this how I want to live it.

Madzie: It must've been hard for you to have someone you were close to just not accept you for who you are.

Penelope: It was, but like I said my sister grew to understand. If she can do this once then she can do it again, and after that. Though if things don't go....great then Rose you can stay with me, I have an guest room in my house that you can have. Madzie you're welcome into my house as well if you want to.

Rose: Thank you, Aunt Penelope.

Penelope: So, Madzie?

Madzie: Yes Miss-

Penelope: Please call me Penelope.

Madzie: Yes Penelope?

Penelope: Are we going to meet your parents?

Madzie: At dinner, yes. Trust me, you'll love them.

Penelope: I'm looking forward to it.
