4. Maxine Robin Lightwood

(5 MONTHS LATER)

My baby bump has been growing and that's when I used the girdle that Izzy has to suppress my baby bump. Though that hasn't stopped people speculating that something is wrong with me because of my constant mood swings and vomiting. The good thing is that people just think that I'm sick which is good because no one will ever know what's really going on. Right now, I'm at a daily checkup with Dr.Jem and he's showing how the baby is and what the gender is.

Dr.Jem: It's a girl, Mr.Lightwood.

He turns on the screen where I see the baby inside of my stomach, I looked over to see Izzy and she looked like she was about to cry. I turned back to the screen and I just looked at my unborn baby girl. I know that I can't see what she really looks like but I know she's so beautiful.

Alec: She's so beautiful.

We finished the checkup and Izzy and I started to head back to our apartment. When we got inside, Izzy really wanted us to start thinking of names for the baby.

Izzy: Let's see, it's a girl so....what do I want to name my niece?

Alec: You mean what do I want to name my daughter?

Izzy: Hey I'm in on this too you know. So any ideas?

Alec: I was thinking her first name could be Maxine.

Izzy smiled a little bit because she knew who I was naming it after. My little brother Max. I know Max isn't a girl name but Maxine is the girl version of Max. Max was my little brother and he was such a good kid. He was the kind of kid that loved to read, especially mangas, and he was nerdy but a cute nerdy. He was just a really happy kid but then he started to feel really sick and when the doctors checked him they told my mom, Maryse Lightwood, that Max was showing early signs of leukemia. Max was rushed to the hospital as soon as possible where he was receiving treatment there but it seemed he wasn't getting any better. Next thing Izzy, my mom, and I knew the doctors told us that Max was going to die since the leukemia was too strong. Max told us that it wasn't out fault and that we can't control things like this. Then he passed away but we still visit his grave on his birthdays and Christmas or whenever we can.

Izzy: I like that, Maxine Lightwood.

Alec: I want to add a middle name though.

Izzy: And that is?

Alec: Robin.

Robin is supposed to be in honor of my dad, Robert Lightwood, he died in a car crash when he was on his way home. I remember the cops showing up at the door to my home and telling my mom that he died. I knew that Robin is, in a way, a girl variation of Robert so I chose that.

Izzy: I like it.

Alec: Thanks.

Izzy: Hey Alec?

Alec: Yeah.

Izzy: You think we should tell mom and Jace about this?

Alec: I....I don't know.

Izzy: Come on Alec, they deserve to know.

Alec: I know it's just that.....I don't know how they're going to react to the way I got pregnant.

Izzy: Even if it was just from a one night stand, mom and Jace will have to understand.

For those of you who don't know Jace, he's Izzy and I's adoptive brother. He was always been with us for all the years that we lived.

Izzy: Come on Alec, they need to know.

Alec: I guess so...
