Dead of Summer (Part 1)

I can't believe that my parents are sending me to stupid summer camp. They said that they're sending me away because they want me to get out more. The real truth is that they are going to finalize their divorce behind my back. They think I don't know about it, but I do and it's because of all the screaming and the papers that I find in my dad's office. The only good news about this is that my two friends, Clary and Raphael, are going. I think there are other people that are going too, but I don't know who. The plan is to pick them up at their house, and head to this elementary school's basketball court and just wait for a camp bus to drive us all the way to the campsite.

Magnus: Hey Clarebear!

Clary: Hey!

Clary put her stuff in the back of my truck and takes the shotgun seat.

Magnus: You know Raph is going to kill you for taking the special seat.

Clary: Hey, he always takes this spot. Now it's my turn to have fun in the front.

I start the car and start heading to Raph's house.

Clary: So why are you going to this camp?

Magnus: My mom and dad say I need to get out more. When really I think they're sending me here just to get a divorce without me seeing it.

Clary: I'm so sorry, Magnus.

Magnus: It's fine, I knew it wouldn't last because of my dad's alcoholism.

Clary: You'll be fine, if you need help, I'll be right here.

Magnus: Thanks Clarebear.

A little background on that, Clary's parents got a divorce because of an affair her dad had with her co-worker. I think he name was Lilith, and this all happened before Clary was born. Which means she has an older half-brother or something like that. Anyways, then I picked up Raphael and like I guess he was pissed that Clary took shotgun.

Raphael: Really?

Clary: You had your turn, now it's mine.

Raphael put his stuff in the back and got in the backseat and we all drove off to the basketball court.

Raphael: Who knew it would be this hot?

Magnus: Are you vampire now, Raph?

Raphael: I'm just saying, but if it was true then I would make a hot one.

Clary: Oh no, he's so hot that the sun can't burn him.

Magnus: And it looks like he has us under his charm.

Clary: Oh no, that means we're vampires next!

Simon: No one's getting turned into vampires on my watch.

Clary: Simon? You're here!

Simon: Hi guys!

That's Simon, Clary's best friend other than me, I've met him a couple of times and he's super cool. He is a huge nerd though, but all in all, he's cool.

Clary: How are you here?

Simon: Mom thinking that I'm dying plus me saying would me dying to get me out of this conversation equals my mother sending me here to have a normal summer vacation.

Clary: Oh poor you, well at least you get to spend the summer with your best friend.

Not a moment too soon, a black car rolled in.

Magnus: Guess we have more company.

Out of the black car came out...

The Lightwood kids!?

Clary: Hey Izzy!

Izzy: Clary!

Izzy and Clary ran up to each other and hugged one another.

Izzy: Thank the angel you're here! I thought that my brothers would be the only source of entertainment.

Jace: You make it sound like we're not funny.

Izzy: It's not because of that, it's because I want to have a little girl time.

Clary: Speaking of time, you're spending your time here?

Izzy: Yes, and very forcefully.

Clary: Same.

Alec: Hey, can any of you give me a hand?

Clary is best friends with Izzy, and I swear that Jace is in love with her. If nobody doesn't know them, then they must be living under a rock. The Lightwood kids are known to be the most popular kids ever known, while Izzy has all the badass vibes and Jace has all the charm, Alexander Lightwood, the oldest sibling, is the one who has a mysterious personality. Anyone can look into those dashing eyes of his, and would instantly want to know who he is.

Clary: This is a lot of stuff Izzy, you know we're only going to be spending a few weeks over there.

Izzy: Well I wanted to be prepared.

Clary: And I thought Magnus was worse.

All of them had met up at where all of us, and not a moment too soon the bus arrived. The doors opened to reveal a man that looked old looking.

Hodge: I'm Hodge Starkweather, assistant camp director, I'll be driving you all the way to the camp. Any questions?

Magnus: Where is this camp at?

Hodge: Lake Lynn, anything else?

Everyone said nope, and we all got in. I took back seat since I would have more room and to be next to Alexander as well.

Magnus: Mind if I sit here?

Alec: Not at all, go right ahead.

I sit next to Alec, and I knew that something was about to happen.

Magnus: Magnus Bane.

Alec: Alec Lightwood.

Magnus: I see you read.

Alec: Maybe a little too much, I think that's why my parents are sending me here, that and too make sure Jace doesn't do anything stupid.

Magnus: From the looks of it, he'll do something stupid with or without you.
