2. An Unexpected Turn

I woke up with this huge hangover whacking me in the head like how Rapunzel whacked Flynn with a frying pan in Tangled. Though I think having this hangover is worse than a cooking item hitting your face. Looking all around I realized that this looked nothing like my room and when I was about to look up I saw that there were arms around my waist. I looked up to see Magnus next to me and then I realize that I'm in Magnus Bane's, my boss, house! That's when I started to put the pieces together, Magnus and I must've drunk too much to the point where we went into his room and had.........had sex......Can this get any worse? No...it can't get any worse since I slept with my boss and that is an inappropriate work relationship. I got out of the bed very slowly so I wouldn't wake Magnus, I got my clothes that were discarded on the floor and I left the house in a quick snap. I tried to see if my car was still here but I didn't find it and then I get a call from Izzy.

Alec: Hey Izzy-

Izzy: Alec? Oh, thank the angel you're alive! I was starting to think that you were dead or kidnapped. Where are you? Are you okay?

Alec: I'm fine, I just slept at Magnus' place because I was too drunk. Did you take my car?

Izzy: Yes and I went over to the police station to see if they could find you.

Alec: Just come over here to get me home.

Izzy: Alright I'm on my way.

I wait around for a few minutes, I just hope that Magnus doesn't figure it out. If he does then it's going to be awkward and I can't put this on him.

Izzy: Hey big bro!

I saw Izzy waving her hand high and I ran into the car and we both drove back to my apartment.

Izzy: Alec what happened?

Alec: I told you on the phone.

Izzy: I know but there is something way more than just you being drunk and sleeping at your boss' house. What happened?

There was nowhere else to turn, I knew that I couldn't lie or dodge the question. I took a deep breath and I looked at Izzy straight in the eye.

Alec: When I first woke up, I had a huge hangover and I realized that I was in Magnus' bed.

Izzy: Did you...?

Alec: We slept with one another but we were drunk so it didn't mean anything.

Izzy: Oh my god...

Alec: I then got out of bed, put my clothes on, and I got out and now we're here.

Izzy: Do you think Magnus will know?

Alec: That I don't know because when I woke up Magnus was still asleep. His hands were around my waist and when I removed then he was still had his eyes close.

Izzy: Are you going to tell him?

Alec: Hell no, if I tell him then his career would be ruined. Plus I work for him and what happened last night would be considered an inappropriate boss-employee relationship. I don't want him to go through so much controversy when he's at the highlight of his job.

Izzy: And what if he does remember?

Alec: I guess I won't have any choice but to confess and then I'll have to resign from my job. Now that he'll know, we can't be seen in the same spot in the same room.

Izzy: Alec, let's not take things too far. Maybe something will happen and everything will turn out alright.

Alec: I hope you're right.

(3 DAYS LATER)

I get home from work just really tired and I serve myself some chicken stirfry. I get one bite out of it and all of a sudden I feel sick. I get up quickly and head to the bathroom to throw up. I start throwing up several times and then Izzy comes in.

Izzy: Alec? You okay?

Alec: Yeah I think it was the chicken stirfry that I ate.

Izzy: It couldn't have gone bad already, you made it yesterday.

Alec: Unless if you added something to make it horrible.

Izzy: Hey! I may not be great at cooking but I didn't spike the stirfry.

Alec: Hmm...I guess I might have an upset stomach then.

Izzy: Maybe you should go see a doctor and see what's wrong.

Alec: No I think I'll be fine. I think I'll just order takeout instead.

I order some take out and the weird thing is that I throw it up again.

Izzy: You're throwing up again?

Alec: Yeah. Mmph!

Izzy: I don't get it, you love Chinese food.

Alec: Mmph!

Izzy: Finish vomiting and get in the car we're going to see what's up.

Alec: Izzy, I'm-mmph!

Izzy: Don't say that you're fine because clearly, you're not.

Izzy drags me into the car along with a brown bag for me to throw up in and we head to the doctors' office. I get checked by this guy named Dr. Jem Carstairs and then he delivers me some shocking news he says that I'm pregnant.

Izzy/Alec: WHAT?!?!

Izzy: Dr.Carstairs this can't be happening.

Dr.Jem: I'm sorry Miss Lightwood but it's the truth. Looking from what you both have told me and from examining of what is happening with your brother it has come to the conclusion that I believe he's pregnant.

Alec: By the angel...

Dr.Jem: If you want I can provide you with a pregnancy test so you can see the results.

Alec: Let's do it.

I took the test and it came out positive.

Alec: Crap!
