4. How Is This Happening?

Alec: Izzy, you're making a big deal out of this. I'm pretty sure I just have a huge stomach ache, because of the beers I had.

Izzy: I know Alec, but I'm just making sure that you're okay. Trust me Alec, you've been acting so weird ever since that party.

Alec: Izzy, I'm fine.

Izzy: In any case, we're going to see Aline just in case.

The Lightwood siblings, Izzy and Alec, were going to see Dr.Blackthorn-Penhallow to see what was wrong with Alec. Ever since the part, Alec has been feeling weird inside his stomach as if something was moving inside of him. Alec thought he was just paranoid from the drinking at the ball, but Izzy has feeling that it's more than just a couple of beers.

Izzy: Thanks for seeing us Aline.

Aline: It's no problem, have a seat.

Izzy and Alec took their seats, and Aline started to ask questions about what was wrong.

Aline: So you feel like something is moving is inside of you, Alec?

Alec: Yeah, but I think it must've been dizzy from all that drinking.

Aline: Okay, can you describe this movement in your stomach?

Alec: I know this is going to sound weird, but I feel like on the inside of it something had touched it. Like someone laid their foot on it for one second.

Aline: Interesting, and how long have you been feeling this?

Alec: About a week.

Aline kept writing down the information that Alec and Izzy were explaining, and Aline was getting a shocked reaction of what she thought could happen.

Alec: What is it?

Aline: Hold on Alec, I need to make sure that my research is correct, I'll be right back.

Aline exited out of the room, leaving the scared Alec and Izzy.

Alec: What do you think she found?

Izzy: I have no idea.

Alec: Izzy.....

Izzy: Whatever it is Alec, I'm going to be here, I'm not going anywhere.

Alec: Thank you.

Aline rushed back into the room holding a syringe.

Alec: What is this for?

Aline: I need to take a blood test, and I need to extract the blood from your stomach.

Alec: Why?

Aline: Alec, I need you to trust me.

Izzy: Not until you tells us what the hell is going on.

Aline looked at Izzy and Alec straight in the eyes, and proceeded to talk.

Aline: Alec, there might be a chance that you are pregnant.

Alec: What?

Izzy: How?

Aline: Let me ask you Alec, did you have sex with a Seelie, Werewolf, Vampire, or a Warlock?

Alec: No.

Izzy: But he did have sex with an ascending student named Magnus Bane.

Alec: Izzy!

Izzy: Just thought she would want to know.

Aline: Wait, this Magnus Bane what did he look like?

Alec: He has brown skin, tall, a very long and lean.....uh body-

Aline: Okay, I think I got enough out of that.

Alec: I don't understand, what does me having sex with Magnus have to deal with anything?

Aline: Because Magnus Bane is a Warlock.

Alec: How do you know?

Aline: My wife, Helen, and I have met him when he was giving us supplies for medical treatment before Lorenzo could make his Shadowhunter banishment legal.

Alec: So does this mean that......

Aline: Yes Alec, it means Magnus is the father of your child.

Izzy: But how?

Aline: A study has been discovered that when a Downworlder and a Shadowhunter of the same gender have sex then they have the ability to give birth to a child.

Alec: William had sex with a woman named Tessa Gray, what if she's a Warlock too?

Aline: Sorry to break it to you, but yes Tessa is another Warlock.

Izzy: They must've gone through the Idris border at the ball.

Aline: Which means you guys have to keep this a secret, if anyone figures out that Tessa and Magnus crossed the border then they will face execution on Lorenzo's orders.

Alec: How in the world am I going to tell Magnus? What is he going to say when I tell him?

Izzy: Hey, we're going to get through this.

Aline: I'll talk to Helen to see if she can get in contact with Magnus, and I'll let you know what the message she brought.
