3. Finding Work

Why do I feel like something is missing?

Alec: Magnus, what's wrong?

Magnus: I feel like something is missing.

Alec: I swear I turned off the stove.

Magnus: No, not that. It's with the kids.

Alec: The adoption papers are coming through the day after. Remember we wanted to wait, until after we were married.

Magnus: It's not that........Jane!

Alec and I searched for Jane, but we couldn't find her.

I arrived into the apartment building, and I unpack everything into the drawers and closets. It's kind of awkward that I'm living alone, there's no one other than me living here. No dad and clients coming in out of nowhere for something, no extended rooms that lead to weird places. Nothing! Though I will have to adjust, and I know how to do that. I have to redecorate this place, because as it is this place is disgusting. I have so many ideas that I think if I make it my own then I think I'm going to be fine.

I checked the apartment, and I went to her room and I found everything empty. Her closet wasn't filled with clothes, drawers were opened to reveal nothing, it looks like she was robbed.

Alec: Magnus, look at this.

Alexander gave me a small note, and it was in Jane's writing.

Magnus: We'll meet again.......

Whew!

Decorating is not an easy thing to do.

Now I know what father feels like when he was try to decorate our home.

In any case, now that I have decorating done I have to find work. Like Maia said, I have to get all the money I can to pay rent. I've been looking all around websites for jobs, but I've got nothing and I have to find one soon otherwise I can't pay my bills. The manager of the apartments have me rules for this place. Heck he gave me a copy of them, so I could always remember them. Since I know I'm going to forget about them, I put them on my refrigerator door so I can remember.

The rules are.....

1. Rent is due at the end of every month, so don't forget to pay otherwise you will be kicked out.

2. Don't lose your key, you lose it then you pay $5.00 for a replacement.

3. Do not disturb others who live in the same complex building as you, if you do then you will be kicked out if you are reported.

Seems pretty basic stuff, but just because they're simple that doesn't mean that they're strict.

Magnus: I don't understand, what happened?

Alec: I don't know, but whatever happens Jane could be in danger.

Magnus: I can't lose her......I can't lose her.......

Alec: Magnus, you won't lose her.

Magnus: We can't predict that......look remember that secret that I was going to tell you after the wedding.
