5. Just Accept Me....Please

(This is now from Rose's POV)

Mom: Oh sweetie, I am just so proud of you for finding the man of your dreams!

I think you mean woman of my dreams....

Dad: Whatever happens Rose, you make sure that he is the one for you.

You mean I'll make sure that she is the one for me, and yes Madzie is.

Rose: Don't worry you guys are going to love her-I mean him, him is what I meant. Sorry I got my words mixed up.

Mom: It's just anxiety, but don't worry you're going to be fine.

Rose: I hope so.

Dad: Why is that?

Rose: It's just that my girl-I mean boyfriend and I are just nervous. I mean this is the first time that he is meeting you guys, so yeah.

Dad: Don't worry, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Mom: And we promise we won't embarrass you in anyway possible.

Rose: Thanks mom and dad.

I looked down at my phone to see if Madzie texted me that she's here, and on cue she is.

Rose: That's must be my boyfriend, he's outside waiting for me, I'll be right back.

Mom: Okay.

I went to the door as fast as possible, and I opened the door to see Madzie, her family, and my aunt outside.

Rose: Come on in.

Everyone went inside, and this just made me feel even more anxiety than ever before. Madzie could see the shyness in my eyes, so she held my hand and pulled me closer.

Madzie: We'll make it through this, one step at a time. (Reference anyone?)

Rose: Yeah, yeah I know.

We all headed towards the living room, and I told my parents to close their eyes and wait a little bit.

Mom: Okay, but don't keep us waiting!

I whispered to Madzie if she was ready.

Madzie: Always....

Here goes nothing. I brought Madzie and her family out, I had Aunt Penelope step to the side line since just in case if there was going to be any ugliness spilling out. I didn't want her to see the pain that I would have to be going through.

Rose: Okay, on the count of three you guys can open your eyes. One....two.....three!

My parents were opened their eyes, and I could tell that the moment they opened their eyes that they were angrily shocked to see what I brought.

Mom: Is this....?

Rose: Mom, dad....this is my girlfriend...Madzie Lightwood-Bane.

Madzie: Hi it's really nice to meet you.

Madzie tried to shake hands with my parents, but they wouldn't have none of it.

Rose: Uh right here is Madze's family, her dad's Alexander and Magnus Lightwood-Bane, and her older brother's Maxwell and Rafael Lightwood-Bane.

Dad: Tell me you're joking.

Rose: Guys....I'm lesbian, and Madzie and I are dating.....

I looked down at where Madzie's hand and mine touched, and I could feel the strong grip of never wanting to let go that she had on mine.

Mom: This is ridiculous, there is no way that you are dating a girl!

Rose: It is.

My mom looked to Aunt Penelope, and with deathly stares and a cold voice she brought up a ridiculous question.

Mom: Did you force her to be this way? Did you say something that would make her think like this?

Aunt Penelope: I didn't say anything, this is a decision that Rose made on her own, and as parents you need to respect that.

My mom looked at me, and she just nodded her head no.

Mom: I don't even recognize you anymore.

I looked down at the floor, and the only thing that stood out was the tears that touched the wooden floors of my former house....
