Tyde's POV:
"Fuck no. I'm not going!"
"Come on! I don't wanna go alone!" Ryder begged me.
He was nervous about meeting Natalie or whatever her name was and wanted me to come with him.
"Ryder no! Man up!"
"You're meant to be my best mate Tyde!"
"Fine! Fucking relax, I'll go with you to meet this Natalie chick."
"Natasha," he corrected me.
"I don't give a fuck."
"Can we just go," Ryder said and we both got in his car.
"How's Leah?" Ryder asked and I turned to see him smirking.
"Fuck off."
"I just wanna know! Have you talked to her lately?"
"Well..."
"You have!"
"We talked yesterday on the phone," I admitted.
"What'd you talk about?"
"I don't know. Everything I guess," I shrugged. This conversation was so awkward.
"Yeah Leah's cool."
We arrived at a cafe and got out of the car. We walked inside and looked around for Natasha. I didn't know what she looked like so I relied on Ryder to find her.
"Do you see her?" I asked.
"There she is!" He pointed and led the way over to where she was sitting.
We sat across from her and she smiled at Ryder and stared at me, confused.
"Hey Natasha," Ryder said and I watched as her face turned pink.
"Hi Ryder it's nice to meet you," she said and they both shook hands. I rolled my eyes at how formal they were being.
"This is Tyde," Ryder realised I was there and introduced me. I had never met Natasha before, I only knew she was friends with Leah.
She was pretty but not as pretty as Leah. Wait what?
"Hey," I mumbled. I really wasn't in the mood for this shit.
She responded with a hi. I pulled out my phone. I needed something to do. I wasn't just gonna sit here and listen to Ryder and Natasha talk.
I texted Leah, asking her how she was. I don't why I was so drawn to Leah. I don't know why I was being so nice to her. I don't know why I care what she thinks of me. Usually I don't give a fuck about girls, I only use them.
But Leah's different. There's just something about her...
I looked up to see Natasha and Ryder having a conversation.
I felt my phone buzz in my hands. Leah had replied with an "alright."
I was about to text back when Ryder got up. "I gotta go to the bathroom, I'll be back soon." He smiled at Natasha and gave me warning look.
I internally groaned. Why would he leave me with her? I stared out the window.
"So... What's going on with you and Leah?" I turned to face her.
"Nothing," I replied.
"Come on tell me."
"Isn't Leah your best friend? Why don't you just ask her?" I said, annoyed.
