I walked into school and went to my locker straight away. I was avoiding Natasha. What she had done was wrong and I wasn't going to forgive her so soon.

I started unpacking my books from my bag. "Hey Leah," I heard someone say and turned to my right to see Natasha standing there.

So much for avoiding her. I ignored her and continued unpacking my books.

"Leah, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to tell Tyde it's just- it kinda slipped out. He got it out of me. I swear it was an accident!"

"Whatever Natasha," I said and closed my locker. "I don't even care." But I actually did care. What if Tyde didn't want to talk to me anymore because of what Natasha told him?

I walked past Natasha and to my first class which was English. I went in and sat next to Acacia.

"Hey," I said as I slid into the seat next to her.

"Hey," she smiled at me.

The teacher, Miss Dawson cleared her throat. "Good morning class. First of all I'm going to hand back your English exam that you did a while ago."

I was excited to get my results back because English was one of my strongest subjects and I loved it. I was confident that I did really well.

"Most of you did well, however I was surprised by some of the marks," Miss Dawson said as she started handing back the papers. I could have sworn she looked at me when she said this but I just ignored it.

As she put my paper on my desk she said to me quietly, "can I speak to you after class." But she had left before I could reply.

I looked down at my paper and my hear sunk as I read my mark. 21 out of 50. I had failed.

I was so shocked and disappointed by my mark. I had studied a lot for this exam and I was so confident that I would get a good mark.

I barely concentrated for the rest of the lesson. The words you failed kept repeating in my mind. I had never failed an exam before.

Soon the bell rang. Everyone quickly packed up and practically ran out of the classroom.

But I stayed where I was, waiting for Miss Dawson to talk.

"Leah what happened?"

"I'm sorry, what do you mean?"

"You are a straight A student in this class and this mark shows differently."

"I- I don't know what happened. I thought I had done really well."

"Look Leah," she said softly. "I know how good you are at English and I know that this is not your best. Is something distracting you from your studies?"

"Well kinda." I admitted. I have been distracted lately with everything that has been going on. The party with Florence, Luke and I fighting, dad coming home, Tyde, and fighting with Natasha. I haven't been studying as much as I should be lately.

"You have to get rid of those distractions and focus on your studies because I know you can do much better that this test." Miss Dawson said.

I nodded and she said I could leave. I walked out of the classroom deep in thought.

The next classes flew by quickly and soon it was lunch time. I grabbed my lunch from my locker and walked to the table where my friends and I always sat.

I stopped when I saw Natasha already seated there. There was no way I was sitting with her.

I looked for a place to sit and found an empty table. I took a seat and started eating, alone.
