I woke up the next morning and walked downstairs after I had finished getting ready for school. Luke was already sitting on the couch eating breakfast.
I walked into the kitchen, completely ignoring him and searched for something to eat. I felt his eyes on me the whole time.
"Leah I-"
"Don't wanna hear it," I said coldly, cutting him off.
"Please, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you yesterday."
"Yeah well sorry's not gonna cut it this time," I said before taking my breakfast upstairs.
When I arrived at school I walked to my locker to put my bag away. I sighed. I really needed to talk to someone but I couldn't talk to Natasha. I turned my head to the right and saw Aiden standing at his locker not too far away from me.
I was about to go and talk to him when I realised that we were ignoring each other as well. I felt like crying. I had lost two of my closest friends, I was fighting with my brother and I was having problems with Florence again.
I stared into my locker absentminded until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Alexa smiling at me. When she saw my face her smile disappeared.
"What's wrong Leah?"
"Everything," I replied, trying to stop myself from crying.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked softly and I nodded. She pulled me outside to a quiet bench. I told her everything that had happened recently until I heard the bell ring.
We got up to walk to homeroom. I smiled and hugged her. "Thank you so much Alexa, I seriously don't know what I would have done without you."
She smiled back. "Anytime. You know I'm always here for you."
The day flew by quickly and before I knew it it was already time to go home. I was very slow to grab my bag from my locker as I was dreading facing Luke at home. I waited until everyone had left before walking out of school as slowly as I could.
I walked to a nearby park and sat on a bench. I looked around enjoying the quiet. I pulled out my phone and decided to call Tyde. I hoped he would still be nice to me like he had been lately. I felt like we were getting close and that I could finally start trusting him. He picked up after a few rings.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Hey," I replied. There was a moment of silence as none of us knew what to say.
"Whats up," I asked. I tried to make myself sound enthusiastic but failed.
"Are you okay?" He asked, ignoring my question.
"Yeah why wouldn't I be?"
"You don't seem yourself," he said.
I sighed. "Yeah I'm fine. Just having a rough week."
"What happened?" He asked and he sounded as if he actually wanted to know.
"Do you actually care?" I asked not meaning to he rude but genuinely wondering if he cared.
"Of course I do Leah," he said causing my heart rate to pick up.
"It's just stuff with Luke, Aiden, Florence and especially Natasha. I mean we were like so close and them all of a sudden she's jealous of this new girl and accusing me of hating her and Ryders relationship."
"I always knew Natasha was a bitch," he said jokingly.
I laughed, "you don't even know her!"
"Yeah well if she made you upset then she's a bitch," he replied.
