Chapter 33

Lunch with Alexa had been really good so far and I was really enjoying myself.

I laughed as she said something funny and then continued to eat.

"The food here is amazing," I commented.

"Yeah I know. My ex boyfriend used to take me here all the time."

"Oh really. What happened with him?" I asked.

"He cheated," she said and my mouth dropped open.

"Oh my gosh really!"

She nodded and I shook my head "boys are pigs," I said and we both laughed together.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket but ignored it. I didn't want to be rude and take out my phone in the middle of talking with Alexa. Whoever it was could wait.

"So how's your love life?" Alexa asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

I sighed. "To be honest I don't know," I said.

"It's probably better than my non existent one," she rolled her eyes. I smiled and shook my head.

"I remember you told me about a guy called Aiden. What's going on with him?"

I felt my phone buzz again but ignored it.

"Well we're avoiding each other."

"Why what happened?"

"We kissed again and then he tried to talk to me about it and I didn't know what to do. I mean I still don't know how I feel about him so I said we should forget about it and he said he didn't want to forget about it. So I've been avoiding him ever since. I- I just don't know what to do.

"You really need to sort out your feelings for him," she said honestly and I nodded.

"Do you think you like him?" She asked.

"I used to be crazy about him. But I just don't know anymore."

She nodded. "Yeah, well I reckon if you like someone that much your feelings don't just disappear. I think that you probably do still have feelings for Aiden. So just try and spend as much time as you can with him to see if you get butterflies or feel fireworks or something like that," she joked and I laughed along with her.

"No but seriously don't worry you guys will sort it out," she smiled and I smiled back.

"But then there's Tyde..." I began.

My phone buzzed again and I was starting to get annoyed but I just ignored it.

"Who's that?" Alexa asked with curiosity. I realised that I hadn't told her anything about Tyde except that he was a college boy and had slept with Florence.

So I told Alexa everything that had happened with Tyde. Meeting him, him getting into a fight, us kissing, the party where I got drunk and thought he had taken advantage of me, forgiving him and going to his apartment. I also told her about Kyle.

"Woah your life seems way more interesting than mine," she said and I smiled.

"Do you like him?" Alexa asked.

I was put off guard from her question but quickly recovered. "No! Of course not!"

Alexa raised her eyebrows "are you sure about that?"

I nodded.

We talked for a little while longer before we both decided we should leave. I drove Alexa back to her house before going back to mine.

When I opened the door I saw that Luke wasn't home and sighed in relief.

I walked over to the couch and plopped myself down on it. I realised that I hadn't checked who had been texting me. I took out my phone and saw that I had 4 messages all from Tyde.
