And quite proud that I have

Kate is at work

It's night

So it's her night shift

Pete is fast asleep

Took some medicine to help him fall asleep

Tarron is also asleep

Everyone is asleep

But me

I am not asleep

At this point it's not even on purpose

I just can't sleep anymore

So I take advantage of this curse

I put on my hoodie

Pull my hood up

Take my phone

And headphones

And finally

The key

I grip tightly onto the key

It's feeling

It makes me feel safe

I miss that feeling

I place my headphones on 

And play a random track

The humming and airy sounds of NF fly through my ears

I walk to the window

Unlocking it

And opening it up

The moment my skin touches

That freezing air

Is the moment

The first line rings

"I just need some time, I'm tryna think straight,
I just need a moment in my own space."

I let it play

Not fazed by the slightest

As I climb out the window

And rest on top of the roof

I stop for a moment

And let the next verse play

As I sit and stare

At the beautiful night sky

I take in a big breath

Closing my eyes

And opening them to my sight

I swiftly turn around

And hop down from the roof

The second my feet hit the ground

I adjust myself on the ground

Standing up

And straighten and clean my clothes
