MIKAELSON COMPOUND
Klaus continues to paint while Genevieve updates him on the events of the day, wearing only a robe and her underwear. "You should have seen your brother's face when Hayley walked in." She said with a smirk. "The Crescent curse is broken, then?" Klaus keeps his eyes on his painting. "Do you believe this will actually work? That we can finally have some semblance of peace in this city?" She asks when suddenly, Nicole and Cami walk into the room unannounced, interrupting their conversation. "Hey Dad!" Nicole said with Cami by her side. "We saw the light from the courtyard and took a chance that..." Both women stop when they notice Genevieve standing in her underwear. "You weren't with a half-naked psycho-witch-bitch. Seems we gambled and lost." Nicole said snarkily. Cami and Nicole were both utterly disgusted. Genevieve smirks. "Ten minutes ago, I was fully naked." Genevieve said with a smirk. Nicole glared and charged at her but Cami held her. "Oh! Then you served your purpose. Don't let us hold you up." Cami said sarcastically with a glare on her face. "You O'Connell's sure do love to piss off witches." Genevieve said in a warning tone. She leaves the room so Cami, Nicole and Klaus can talk privately.
Cami waits until she has left before she starts arguing with him. "Really? The woman tried to blackmail me into stabbing you with the mystical knife of excruciating pain!" Cami yelled. "That's what I said!" Nicole said throwing her arms up in defeat. "Well, New Orleans breeds nothing if not strange bedfellows, but I assume you're not here to question me on my leisure activities." He replied with a smirk. Nicole wanted to slap his face. "I'm here about my uncle. He's deteriorating. The pills, the meditation, they're not working. His lucidity's shrinking by the day. A witch did this, a witch can undo it. You seem super-tight with Genevieve... maybe you could persuade her to help." Cami said hopeful. "I saw him Dad, it's bad. He doesn't deserve this." Nicole said moving closer to her father. "It won't do any good. These hexes, they start with magic, but as they take root, they alter the very chemistry of the brain. I'm sorry, Cami. The damage is done." He said with no remorse. Nicole was thoroughly confused at how he suddenly didn't care about Cami. "I refuse to accept that, and you would, too, if you had any concept of family." Cami said and stormed out of the room. "Dad, that was really harsh." Nicole said crossing her arms. "Sometimes the truth is not what we want to hear but sometimes it's needed so one can heal sooner." He said with his eyes still on his painting. Nicole shook her head and stormed out herself.
