Marcel & Cami, Hayley Says Goodbye to Eve, Families That Fight

MARCEL'S LOFT

Marcel is sitting on his couch staring into nothingness when he receives a phone call from Klaus. "Klaus, you need to know I had nothing to do with that business out in the bayou today." Marcel says as soon as he answers. "I never thought you did. I'm calling to let you know the priest is dead." Klaus pauses. Marcel lets out a deep sigh. "Your exile is suspended for the next 24 hours. You may return to the Quarter to bury your friend." Klaus says with solace. "Why are you doing this?" Marcel asks not understanding. "She woke in the dark not knowing where she was, or who was watching over her. It was your name she called, and if you can grant her comfort, so be it." He says of Cami. As he speaks, he has a flashback of carrying a battered Cami home to her apartment with Nicole. After the phone call Nicole opens Cami's front door to allow Marcel entry. He hugs Nicole and walks into the apartment. Nicole shows him to Cami's bedroom so he can comfort her. Nicole watches them both sadly from the living room. Her father was in love with her and she called for Marcel. She saw the heartbreak on Klaus' face when she did. He left abruptly and didn't look back. Nicole and Marcel exchanged nods and Nicole left for the night.

THE BAYOU

Back in the Bayou, Hayley cries and kisses Eve's hand before leaving the shack. Outside, she finds Oliver continuing to rile up the rest of the wolves. "Look, I know where I'm going. If any of you want to follow, hey, that's up to you. That's up to you!" He is still ranting to them about revenge.

THE MIKAELSON COMPOUND

Nicole and Klaus join Elijah in the study. Elijah is drinking a glass of bourbon by the window. "First Marcel's massacre, now bombs in the Bayou. I'll assume you're ready to give up this doomed treaty." Klaus says as he sits at Elijah's desk as Nicole stays by the door. "This alliance with the wolves, well... If it is to succeed, I believe you and Nicole will want this." Elijah says as he hands Nicole Esther's grimoire and turns away. "Seems I have Hayley to thank for your change of heart." Klaus says as Nicole hands it to him. Elijah pours all three of them drinks. "The rifts in this city run far deeper than I even imagined, Niklaus. These tribes, these factions; they're families. Families who choose to fight." Nicole and Klaus' eyes meet when Elijah says families who choose to fight. They both nod and smile. "Mayhem has descended upon our home, and if I'm to choose a side..." He hands Klaus a drink, hands Nicole hers and holds his out to toast them. "To our victory as the Mikaelson's." Elijah finishes and they all clink their glasses and drink.
