MIKAELSON COMPOUND/NICOLE'S ROOM
Nicole sat in her room practicing spells and reflecting on meeting Mikael. The coldness in his eyes. Now that she understands his hatred for Klaus; she needed to protect her father and Hayley at all costs. As she was going through the grimoire she found a spell that allows one to leave their body and follow anyone that poses as a threat to them. Nicole debates but eventually begins chanting. She is suddenly transported to the lycée and sees Monique. She walks up to her and puts her hand right through her chest. She realizes she's invisible. Suddenly Genevieve runs into Monique when she returns home, and grabs her angrily by the arm. Nicole takes a step back to watch them. "What the hell did you do to Hayley?" Genevieve asks her angrily. Nicole focuses her eyes on Monique. "I was trying to do what the ancestors asked!" Monique says and pulls her arm from Genevieve. The ancestors had a plan? "That baby is part-witch! The ancestors want her consecrated to the earth so her magic can fuel our community! She has to be born first before she can die!" She smacks Monique on the shoulder. "Leave. I don't want to look at you." Monique glares at her and angrily stomps away.

Once she leaves, Genevieve rushes around the room, gathering ingredients for a spell. She pours salt in a circle around a bouquet of dried flowers. As she chants, she takes off her gold necklace and places it on the table with the rest of the components for her spell. "Nouvel vie, nouvel ame, me longe avec nous on cette." She chants. Nicole doesn't understand. "Miséricorde, don't make me do this. She's a baby. Don't make me a monster! Please..." Genevieve says as she cries. Nicole realized she was praying to the ancestors. They were forcing her to kill the baby.
The wind starts to blow violently around her, and blood starts to drip from her eyes and nose. "No!" Genevieve cries as she tries to stop the bleeding. Suddenly an invisible being throws Genevieve into the air, and she slams against a tomb before the force thrusts her forward and causes her to fly face-first into a tomb. She groans in pain and grabs her nose as the whispering spirits of the coven's ancestors start to grow louder and louder around her. Blood begins to gush from her nose and mouth, and a terrified Genevieve begins to plead with them "No! No! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'll do it!" Her face continues to bleed. "I'll do whatever you want!" She frantically screams as she looks up at the sky. Nicole knew trouble was just beginning and now she had to do everything possible to protect Hayley.

THE FRENCH QUARTER
The marching band continues to play in the streets as the party rages on. Children and adults alike dance in the street with umbrellas as Klaus and Elijah stand on the sidewalk and watch from outside the compound. "Hayley has agreed to return home to us... with her own free will." Klaus says and then notices Marcel standing nearby. "When Mikael is truly gone, do you think then I'll find peace?" Niklaus asks his brother. "I certainly hope so. Although, it's not only our father who haunts you, Niklaus." Klaus rolls his eyes at him. "You might want to make peace with the living." Elijah says and pats him on the back before he takes off. Klaus watches Marcel from across the street, which causes him to remember the day he turned Marcel. Marcel notices Klaus staring at him, and stares right back. Klaus watches as Marcel turns and walks away.
Marcel walks down a dark alley, only to find Klaus waiting for him at the end. "Your furlough ends when the clock strikes." Klaus says to him. "I'm aware. Don't worry! I intend to be far away from here by then. But, just because I'm across the river, doesn't mean I'm not in the game." He says and points at the sky. "Full moon's coming. I know you're up to something with the wolves, and I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what. And any way I do the math, it ends with me and my guys dead." Marcel says with anger. Klaus stares at Marcel blankly. "Or, maybe we're supposed to fall in line, pledge our allegiance to you all over again so if we get bitten, you might deign to cure us. Is that what you're after? 'Cause it's not gonna happen." Marcel stood his ground. Klaus smirked at him. "Well, that will be your choice, just as you chose to bring my father to town. You, who knows better than anyone, the specific agony of a father's hatred." Marcel cut him off. "Klaus..." Niklaus cut Marcel off. "I spent decades trying to make up for what your father did!" Klaus shouts then composes himself. "How did I fail?" He asked Marcel. "Maybe the scars just ran too deep." Marcel shrugged. The two stare at each other for a long moment until Klaus decides to leave. "Goodnight, Marcellus." Klaus says and turns away. Marcel waits until Klaus is almost gone. "You didn't fail me. You raised me. You taught me everything that I know. You taught me that I can't afford to be weak. Not when my enemies are stronger. So, whatever it is you've got coming with the wolves, just know that I'm gonna fight for my guys. I'm gonna fight for my city." Marcel raises his voice to a shout. "And, I will fight until I am dead!" He finishes, and Klaus turns to him. He stares him in the eyes. "I would expect nothing less." Klaus says with fury and storms away, leaving Marcel alone in the alley.

LYCEE

Nicole was about to pull herself out of the spell when she saw Davina enter the Lycee. She followed her inside. Davina is organizing herbs in the greenhouse when the wind starts blowing through the broken windows. When she looks down at her bandaged hand, she sees that her palm has begun bleeding again in the same wound she used in her seánce spell earlier. Nicole rushes to help her but forgets she's invisible. "Dammit." Nicole says in frustration. Davina turns when she starts to hear Tim's song in the wind chimes, and all the candles and lights in the room flicker. Nicole doesn't understand what is happening. "Davina what have you done?" Nicole asks even though she knew she couldn't hear her. "Tim? Is that you?" Davina asks, fear evident in her voice. Nicole immediately understood who Davina was calling to. Davina turns and the fear becomes more prominent in her eyes. Nicole turns and gasps at who stood before her. She turns around to see Mikael's form flickering in front of her. "Who are you?" Davina asks him. "Your friend Timothy has moved on, Davina. I'm truly sorry for what my son did to him." Mikael says sincerely. "How is this possible?" Nicole again asks aloud. "You're Klaus' father?" Davina asks him. "And I'm the only one who can rid you of him forever. But first, my little witch, I need you." Mikael says to her with a dangerous gleam in his eye. "What can I do?" Davina asks confused. "You can bring me back to life." Mikael says with a wicked smile. Nicole stood frozen in terror.

As she was about to stop the madness, She heard her father's voice calling her. She was being pulled out of the spell. "No Dad not now!" She yells in anguish. She was pulled out of the spell and she was back in her room. She was unconscious on her bed as her father shook her awake. "Nicole!" He continues to call her. She suddenly shot up awake with a gasp. "Oh thank God!" Klaus says and pulls her into an embrace. Nicole couldn't remember anything or remember what she was doing before she went unconscious. "Dad, what did you do?!" She asks and pulled out of the hug. He looks at her in confusion. "You weren't breathing love. I had to revive you!" Klaus explains with tears in his eyes. Nicole looks at him in confusion. Then she realizes, the ancestors tried to kill her. Esther was consecrated in New Orleans. She was an ancestor now. Nicole used her spell which Esther latched onto and tried to kill her. "Esther." Nicole says as she figured it out. "That bitch tried to kill me!" Nicole says and jumped off her bed and went to Esther's grimoire which was on the floor. She opens the book back to the spell. As she reads she sees that if the person who cast the spell stayed under the spell for more than an hour, they would have no memory of what they witnessed when invisible. "Dammit Esther!" Nicole shouts angrily. Klaus stares at her in confusion. Nicole saw his worried stare. "I was casting this spell and I guess it worked because I have no memory of doing it! Just as Esther wrote!" Nicole huffs and throws the book on the floor. "She always had a way of screwing us with her spells." Klaus says trying to make her smile. Nicole was fuming at that moment. "Yeah well, if I ever meet her, she's gonna have hell to pay." Nicole had a look of murder in her eyes. Klaus smirked at the expression on her face. She was truly becoming a warrior.
