FACTION PARTY-- MIKAELSON COMPOUND

Elijah had thrown said party after all at the compound, where all the factions can come celebrate together and mingle. Nicole wasn't happy about it but knew she had no say. Genevieve enters with Davina, Abigail, and Monique in tow. Diego and the other vampires are drinking together. Jackson, Hayley, Oliver and the other werewolves enter the party together. Klaus, Elijah and Nicole look at the party from the balcony. "I'm impressed, brother." Elijah said smiling smugly. "Yes." Klaus replied. "Now if I can just keep them from tearing one another to shreds." Nicole stifles a laugh because she knows deep down that this plan is doomed. "Well, then for your sake, here's to a spectacularly boring evening." Klaus said to his brother. Nicole left them and went to talk to Hayley and Jackson. Nicole felt the wolf side of her pull toward them more than the witches. Esther was a monster and she didn't want to become that. She had stopped practicing her magic since the night in the cemetery.

Nicole was talking with the wolves while Diego and some other vampires pass Jackson and Oliver. "What's up, little man?" Diego asked as He purposely bumps into Jackson, which enrages Oliver. Jackson holds Oliver. "He's not even worth it." Elijah goes to follow after Jackson, sensing hostility brewing, but Francesca distracts him. Nicole nods to her uncle to show that she'll handle it. "Since you're preoccupied, I'll intuit your flattering compliment. Francesca said as she stepped into his view of Nicole. She smiled. "Thank you, I think I look stunning, too." She said with conceit. "I trust you've spent as much time fortifying alliances as you clearly have selecting that dress." Elijah replied smoothly. "So you do notice me. And, yes, I've already settled the dispute over the docks. I pacified the witches with an increased share in cemetery tours, and I've given the Crescents a Welcome-Back-to-Humanity gift in the form of $100 chips to my casino. So, I think I deserve some champagne, don't you?" She asked. Elijah grabs a glass of champagne off a passing hostess, but when she grabs for it, he pulls it away. "Ahh. You know, in light of Kieran's deteriorating condition, the others have acquiesced to your proposal. You will represent the human Faction until he's ready to resume." Francesca takes the glass from him. "Then, I suggest we make the most of our limited time together." When Francesca moves, Elijah sees Hayley talking to Nicole and stares at her.

Davina saw Oliver from across the room and smiled at him and he gladly returned the smile. Diego watched this happen, and angrily chugged his drink. Elijah noticed his mood and intervenes "Diego. You will be polite and welcoming." He said sternly to the young vampire. "Yeah, see, his people killed my whole family. My sister bled out on the floor right next to me. The only reason I'm standing here is because Marcel came along and turned me before I bled out, too. So, I'm telling you right now... I cannot be polite and welcoming to that." He said with hate in his tone. "Diego, I understand your anger. However, there are certain overtures that need to be made, if we are to find a degree of peace." Elijah leaves him and approaches Jackson who is standing with Nicole. "Welcome to our home." Elijah gestures to himself and Nicole. Nicole could tell how uncomfortable this was going to be. "I wouldn't be here if Hayley hadn't forced the issue." He said letting Elijah know where they stood. "Yes. It's rather unlikely that you'll experience an outpouring of kind sentiment here. The vampires in particular view you as... well, barbaric." He said with honesty. "Hayley tells me that this peace treaty is important to you." Jackson said with a questioning tone. "Yes, it certainly is. So much so, in fact, that if anyone threatened to dismantle what I'm building here, I'd destroy everything they hold dear." Elijah smiled. "Have a wonderful evening." He said and walked away from the two. Nicole remained quiet, feeling very stuck in the middle because she was a Mikaelson witch, half wolf and her family were vampires.

Klaus is on the balcony overlooking the party when he noticed Jackson walk up the stairs. Klaus followed Jackson into one of the upstairs studies. "I'm so glad you accepted my invitation." He said causing Jackson to spin around and face him. "So, is this where the great Klaus Mikaelson says something poignant, and snaps my neck?" Jackson asked based on Klaus' reputation. "I'm not here to kill you. I'm here to offer you a gift." Klaus said with sincerity. "Out of the kindness of your vampire heart?" Jackson asks with disbelief. Klaus walks towards him. "Our hearts are more similar than you might realize. You see, long before I evolved, mine beat as a werewolf. I know your power. I know your burden. My daughter knows it as well. I'm here to take the latter away." He remained calm and sincere. "You want to make me a hybrid? I put my pack first, and I'm not gonna let anything compromise my family line, especially becoming some bloodthirsty vampire parasite." Jackson spat with venom in his words. "That pride, that sense of loyalty? Well, that's exactly two of the reasons why I haven't snapped your neck yet. Plus my daughter would be very upset at me if I did that." Klaus said with a smirk. "Well, if you're not gonna kill me, then what the hell do you want?" Jackson asked confused. "Only to give you back the city that was taken from you. How is that for poignant?" Klaus couldn't wait for his response. "Why would I trust someone who's conspiring behind his own brother's back?" Jackson motioned outside the door where the party was. "I'm not trying to undermine Elijah's venture. I'm supporting his vision. Vampires destroy life to survive, witches are only as powerful as their dead, but the werewolves have thrived because their strength comes from family unity. The safety of that unity is what I want for Nicole and my unborn child. The painful truth is, vampires are the antithesis of unity." Klaus said with conviction. He wanted peace for Nicole and the baby; but at what cost? "So, what, after a thousand years, you're finally ready to embrace the other half of your family tree? Maybe the other half doesn't want you." Jackson asked. "Oh, they will once they return to the Quarter."Klaus pushed past Jackson to grab a wooden box from his desk. Jackson becomes curious. "You got a plan to back that up?" Jackson asked with suspense building. Klaus pulled out Cary's ring from the box. "My mother was a very powerful witch. I watched her craft all manner of magical items, but her most prized possession was this ring. I hadn't seen it for 1,000 years, and then it turned up hanging around the neck of a werewolf... a direct descendant of my biological father. I believe she gave him this ring as a way of freeing him." Klaus said holding up the ring. "How so?" He asked confused. "Daylight rings shield vampires from the sun. So, why not moonlight rings to protect werewolves from their curse? Think about it! No more breaking bones, no more losing control to the beast within." Klaus said with excitement. "What do I have to do?" Jackson asked ready to make a deal with a devil.
