JARDIN GRIS VOODOO SHOP

Oliver opened the door to the shop, where Marcel and Nicole were waiting for him. Once inside, he shut the door behind him for privacy. "Last man and or woman standing, huh?" Oliver asked as if he had the upper hand. Nicole glared at him. Marcel held her back. "I'm interested in making a deal." Marcel said knowing he actually had the upper hand. "Don't look like you got much to offer." Oliver said with a smirk. "I'm hearing word the Guerrera's want the Quarter to be a No-Vampire Zone. I can make that happen-- in exchange for you leaving us alone across the river. Or... Nicole and I can unleash hell on your new wolf pack." Marcel said with a smirk; growing wider. Oliver let out a laugh that made Nicole scowl even more. "And how can you do that?" He asked them in confusion. "Easy! I made my peace with Klaus. He cured me. So now, it's you versus us." Marcel explained while gesturing to Oliver then Nicole and himself. "Klaus is a warmonger. You think he's gonna choose to side with a pack of scrawny vamps over an army of the new wolf breed that he created?" Oliver asked not taking them seriously. His tone and name calling her father was pissing Nicole off. She'd heard enough of him. "Trust me Oliver, I know my father and believe me when I say; he's gonna side with us." Nicole said and took a few steps closer to him. He scoffed in disbelief at her. "Especially when he finds out that your pack killed his newborn child." Nicole said with fury in her eyes. Oliver's smug smirk slid off of his face, and he became more serious and weary. "What?" He asked with fear in his voice. Marcel turned and gestured to a box on the front counter. "Open the box, and let me know who you think Klaus will believe about who's responsible for what you find inside of it. Let's go Nic." He said and moved with Nicole's hand in his toward the door. Nicole pushed into Oliver but put her face to his ear. "Let Francesca know this is far from over and I will avenge my sister." She threatened and walked out the door. Before Marcel exited with her, he stopped at the doorway. "Cremation may be the best way to go... before Klaus smells it on you." He left Oliver alone in the shop, where Oliver nervously approached the box. When he looked inside, he winced, and his face went pale.

THE MIKAELSON COMPOUND

About a half hour after Nicole's visit with Oliver, she joined her father on the balcony over the courtyard, mournfully staring down below, when Cami rushes into the compound. "Klaus? The baby?" She asked with hope she had read wrong. "She died. A few hours after the Guerrera attack." Klaus said with sadness. Cami gasped and covered her mouth with her hand before she burst into tears. "This is-This is all my fault!" She shouted with guilt. Nicole felt terrible lying to Cami. "I can assure you it is not." Klaus said numbly. "No! If I hadn't hesitated, I could have uncovered Francesca's plot in time to stop it!" Cami explained with anger and grief in her voice. Nicole and Klaus exchanged pitiful glances. They felt terrible that she was blaming herself. "And how would you have stopped the coven of witches in league with her?" Klaus said and began to tear up. "No. If anyone is to blame, I am." He said with more guilt in his eyes. Nicole just remained silent and let them talk. "I am so, so sorry." She said genuinely. Klaus finally turned to face her."Camille. I appreciate you being here, but we cannot be friends." He said with sternness. "What?" Cami asked confused. "Dad don't." Nicole stood and tried to stop him but Klaus raised a hand to silence her. "You had me pegged from the start. A man, damaged by his demons. And those demons are not dormant-- they're hell-bent on killing me, and everything I find beautiful." He explained as he walked closer to Cami. "And you?" He sighed. "You are beautiful." He said and stared at her for a moment. "Please. Please, just go." Klaus begged her. "Klaus--" Cami tried to reason with him but he stopped her. "Go." Klaus said through tears. Cami ran from the room with tears spilling. Klaus sadly watched her go. "Was that really necessary?" Nicole asked him, slightly angered at him. "Yes. She needs to be safe." Klaus said and left the room. Nicole now understood, he's protecting her. He doesn't want her involved in anything that's to come.
