ROUSSEAU'S

Klaus enters the restaurant to talk to Cami when he sees Nicole behind the bar. "What are you doing here?" He asks angrily. "I work here genius." She said while handing a customer a drink. "Since when?" He asked confused. Nicole gave him a 'of course you weren't listening to me' sigh. "I told you I got a job." With that Cami came up behind her and ended their conversation. "This is for table three." Cami handed her the tray and turned her attention back to Klaus. "What do you want?" She asks with hostility. "You hired my daughter?" He asked angrily. "Yes, she wanted a job and you were ignoring her. Now, what do you want?" Klaus sighed. "I formed an alliance with someone who may be able to help your uncle." He said with a small smile. "Let me guess. Tall, redhead, ax to grind? Those resurrected witches are the ones who hexed Kieran in the first place. Why would she want to help?" Cami said not understanding his proposal. "Because it's my decree that she does. I believe the words you're looking for are 'thank you' but by all means, say no if you have an alternative." Cami takes a beat. "No." Klaus turns to leave, but Cami changes her mind and stops him. "Wait. Do whatever you have to do. Just help him." She begs. Klaus nods and walks out.

ST. ANNE'S CHURCH

Later on, Nicole is in the back of the church praying. Klaus doesn't notice she's there. Oliver roughly drags Cary, Klaus' distant relative, into St. Anne's for their meeting with Klaus. Nicole ducks down onto the floor so she can listen to what's going on. "You don't stop squirming, I don't care who you know, I'm gonna kneecap you right here." Oliver says and Klaus vamp-speeds toward them, annoyed. "When I asked you to bring Cary to me, it was as my guest. Might I recommend you release him before I opt to release you from your mortal coil." Oliver huffed in annoyance. "I found him like you asked, and he jumped me. Now, his pack's been going at mine since the beginning of time. I don't owe him a thing." Klaus rolled his eyes at Oliver. "You see, it's that short-sighted attitude that led to the demise of the werewolves." Klaus said as a reminder. "I'm pretty sure Marcel and the witches did that." Oliver retorted. "The packs should have been united. Marcel saw that weakness and he exploited it. If you seek to rebuild with only the Crescents, you may as well stay in your hovels in the bog!" He turns to Cary and smiles kindly. Nicole looks from behind the pew quietly. "I don't believe we've had the pleasure of an introduction." Klaus says with a small smile. "Legend says you're descended from our line." Cary says with skepticism. "The legends are true. Come here." Klaus said, leading him away and pulled his ring out of his pocket. "I understand that this ring was passed down through generations of our family. I need to know what stone it housed." Cary looks at it. "I never saw it with a stone." He said with recognition. "Could you ask around for me, mate? Hmm? See what you can find out." Klaus said more an as order than a request. Nicole doesn't understand what her father is up to.
