Something Between Us

Chapter 14

Emma's POV

Over the last couple days Logan hasnt been feeling to well with the fact that a new tooth is growing in. I personally love to hold him and make him feel better. I really am starting to get go at this.

"Hey little boy. How do you feel the morning?" I ask Logan as I picked him up.

Since he cant talk he didnt say anything. So I changed him and got him ready for the day when Kayden walked in.

"Emma? My daddy wont get out of bed." Kayden says.

"Yeah. Why not?" I ask.

"He said he is tired." He tell me.

"Well then leave him alone for now. Is there anything you need? Cause I can help you." I say.

"Daddy, promised to take us to the park today and he wont get up. Could you take us?" He asks.

"I dont see why not." I say.

"Thank you." He says.

He gave me a quick hug and then went back to his room. I checked on him and Elliot for a moment and then went into Killian's room.

"Hey just so you know Im taking the boys to the park. You can join us or sleep its up to you." I say.

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." Killian says.

I walked out of his room and took all three kids to the park. As two of them played I sat with the other on the grass.

"Emma what brings you here?" David asks me.

"Im watching the kids." I say.

"I thought Killian was coming. God he has to. I have this girl who isnt looking for something right now, but by the time they are both ready they will already know and like each other." He says.

"David why are you doing this to him? Why are you doing this to me? Why cant you just leave him alone?" I ask.

"What do you mean? I want to help him be happy again. As for the thing about you. Why are you involved?" He questions.

"Because you send me here to help him and he and I have become close. He is my friend and I know he isnt ready to be set up. You need to respect that. When he wants to date he will on his own terms. It hasnt even been a year since the woman he loved died. Give him space all he needs to worry about right now is his kids. Not dating and you need to leave him alone." I say.

He said nothing after that he just walked the other way and about a few seconds later I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"You didnt have to do that for me Swan." Killian says when I face him.

"I know, but I wanted to. Now I see why you were pretending to sleep." I say.

"Yeah he has been doing that for awhile now. Thanks for actually being a friend that knows what I want right now." He says.

"No problem." I say.

He picked up Logan and took him to the baby swing. Killian was pushing all three of his kids on three different swings and it just made my heart flutter. Im starting to think that maybe one day I could have a family of my own. I just hope when that happens I will feel this way all the time.
