"You," I bark when I see Shay open the door, "Are you fucking kidding me?"

"Hello, to you too," Shay says sarcastically after her initial surprise wore off.

"So, when you said we were neighbors," I start crossing my arms and leaning against the door frame, "you failed to mention that you actually live next door."

"And your point is," Shay sasses.

"My point is that, if I knew you were my next door neighbor I would've come over sooner," I remark letting my gazed travel the length of her body.

She scoffs at my words then responds, "What triggered this sudden curiosity about the girl next door?"

"Your music," I keep my answer simple and honest.

"Oh, sorry," she shrugs.

"Aren't you going to invite me in," I flirt, "it's the least you could do since you interrupted part of my day."

"Why," Shay suspiciously eyes me.

"You got to see my place so it's only fair that I get to see yours," I say moving past her.

"Satisfied" she sighs exaggerated

I step through the door and am surprised by the fact that her living room looks like the messy version of a Better Homes and Garden magazine spread. She has a simple grey couch with several pillows and a blanket thrown askew. She even had a small desk in the corner. Her computer was open, and I observed the name, Mia Shayne, followed by a few reviews.

"Interesting," I said lazily then walked back out the door. Shay is mean mugging me the whole time.

"The only thing that's interesting is how I'm not surprised at your behavior," Shay shrugs.

"You know, usually people are cordial with someone who's seen them naked," I chuckle at her attitude.

"I'm not people," She grumbles slamming her door.

Something about her is making me want to know her better. It might be time to make the call I'm dreading.

"Hello," answers the voice on the other side of the phone.

"I really hope I don't regret this call"
