My name is Castrence Wood, an employee in LREX Corporation. I've been working here since I graduated from College. It's actually my dream company, so it's really a dream come true for me when they hired me. 5 yrs. na ako sa LREX, but the thing is nawawalan na ako ng ganang magtrabaho. It feels like everything doesn't fit so right, just like before. Yung akala kong gusto kong gawin, eh nawalan na lang bigla ng saysay.
This feeling all started nang imbitahan ako ni Tania, a friend of mine, sa concert sa Starlite bar. Then my co-worker which is just beside me, Matty, introduce me to the band's leader & vocalist. Which turns out to be my co-worker too, he's Clifford Manchester.
His music, his voice.. it's just so majestic that I find myself falling for his charms. But I'm not one of the 'groupies', na kung makadikit kay Cliff eh parang linta. Yung iba nakikipag-make-out pa kay Cliff. Yeah. He's that kind of guy, he's a womanizer. And a snobber one. Kaya until now, kahit na almost 1 yr. na kaming magkakilala eh parang bago pa rin yung mukha namin sa isa't-isa. We're a total stranger, unless Matty is in the picture, he's Cliff's best buddy after all.
So back to the story. Because of Cliff's passion for music, I'm reminded the memories of my past self where I sung my heart out with just my piano as my companion. Kung saan wala akong ibang pangarap kung hindi ang ibahagi ang musika ko sa mga taong makikinig nito. I want to touch their hearts with my music. Because of Cliff I realize that, that for once, I also dreamt singing in front of many people and inspire them.
After that, the work that I once enjoy & love, has just gone. At ayoko yung nararamdaman kong ito. I don't want to go back to the past, because it's so painful. Pero dahil sa passion niya sa music, naaalala ko lang ang downfall ko when I embraced music. So it's also painful to love Cliff at the same time.
"So, angel! Are you free later?" I look at Matthew for a second.
"I'll try Matty, I'm still finishing some documents that Lester gave to me. Si Tania muna ang landiin mo." I said jokingly, then Matthew just pout. I pinch his cheek, if only I didn't see him as my brother, maybe I fell for him. Matthew has everything I love for a guy to have.
"Dude, that's so gay. It's gross." Matthew glare at my back. Hindi ko na kailangang humarap sa taong 'yon. Boses pa lang niya kilalang-kilala ko na.
"Psh. Kulang ka lang sa tamis sa katawan Ford. Wala ka kasing babae!" Nakita ko naman ang pag ngisi ni Cliff.
"You know very well that I have so many woman in my hands, Matty. Also, they are the one who's chasing me."
"That's not what I meant, ang ibig kong sabihin yung babaeng seryoso talaga sa'yo. Hindi habol ang mukha at katawan mo." Cliff flinch.
"Don't kid me, you also don't have one--" Matthew cut him off. Nagulat ako ng biglang yumakap si Matthew sa'kin, sanay naman na ako sa skinship sa'ming dalawa ni Matthew, kaya hindi na bago sa akin 'to.
"Oops, I already have one here in my arms." Hindi ko alam kung tama nga ba ang nakita ko o namalikmata lang ako. But I saw Cliff clench his jaw & fist. Napansin ko din ang matalim niyang tingin kay Matthew at ang kamay nitong nakapalibot sa bewang ko.
"Tsk." Wala na siyang ibang sinabi bukod do'n. Bigla na lang siya nag walk-out.
"Woah, that was new." Napatingin naman ako kay Matthew na ngayon ay nakadistansya na sa akin.
"Anong new? What do you mean?"
"Ford."
"He's not usually like that. Usually kasi dededmahin niya lang ako, pero kanina, parang liyon na gusto ng manlapa eh." Dagdag niya pa.
