I knew without feeling
And felt without knowing
A belonging and contentment
An unease, as well
In all the right ways
Challenged and appreciated
In one single vibe
Chilling
Beneath a softly sinking sun
Brown eyes
Blinging gold
Casting little shards of happiness
Cutting into my skin
Making me smile
As I looked down
And counted the grass blades
Thinking
How I treasure
These little gems
