Sand falls through my toes
As I watch the ocean beaches
                              Froth and toss about
                              I reflect and determine that
                              Nothing is paramount
                              For the massive dune
                              I ran upon
When I was just a kid
Lies a glance to my south
Only half the height of yesteryear
And the cave that kept it company
                              Has collapsed
                              Leaving only a sorry arch
                              Perched on a rocky shelf
                              And the hill off yonder
The forest there has been thinned
                              Making way for "Hideaways"
                              Nature's monuments
                              Being pushed into the past
                              By man and nature herself

                              A/N:
It is really something to see things that you thought as so permanent, so massive, so unmovable, so shift and change and become something else with the winds of time.
                              Humbling,
