When all I really wanted was just another moment
Your hand slipped away
When all I really wanted was just another moment
A class was about to be underway
When all I really wanted was just another moment
I failed to find your table
When all I really wanted was just another moment
I failed to take a gamble
When all I really wanted was just another moment
My designated driver was lame
When all I really wanted was just another moment
I settled for your name
When all I really wanted was just another moment
The lunch was complete
When all I really wanted was just another moment
We failed to actually meet
When all I really wanted was just another moment
Your words made me smile
When all I really wanted was just another moment
We emailed for awhile
When all I really wanted was just another moment
We actually made plans
When all I really wanted was just another moment
I began to understand
And then
I was in that moment
When I was invited to sit down
When we drove through town
With the first Corona tipped
When entranced by those soft lips
And then, Finally!
I was in that moment
When I led you to the dance floor
When we drank a little more
When we discussed the night's selections
And shoulder machinations
I am pretty sure we laughed along the way
I am pretty sure something tipped along the way
And then,
When all I really wanted was just another moment
We glided in the car (nervous?) silent
When all I really wanted was just another moment
We had to be proper and diligent
When all I really wanted was just another moment
We were already there
When all I really wanted was just another moment
You hugged goodbye with care
When all I really wanted was just another moment
I think I caught a glimpse
For a moment I convinced myself it was nonsense
When all I really want is...a second chance

Don't sit on your hands. Live! Seize the moment. Because you know --> YOLO
