You are right
I have another lover
I just do not know
Who she is
She pulls at my heart
Drawing me away from here
She keeps me looking
In the shadows
Where my mistress
May be lurking
You are right
I have taken another lover
Who soothes my soul
And listens to my dreams
But she is ethereal
I cannot see her
A shrouded secret
Kept deep from me
But drawing my attention
I have another lover
Another woman that draws
My affection
Who soaks in my interest
Leaving you for want
I am sure her arms are warm
But I may never know
They have never held me
Depriving me of that
Soft caress
Your lips are cold
Hers are warm
And yet, otherwise
Undefined
But full – I imagine
Full kisses, charged
With longing passion
Bestowed without regret
Or required recompense
And they linger
In no hurry
To finish their task
I have another lover
Somewhere, waiting with a smile
And loving eyes
Who will hold me
With slender arms and
Receiving thighs
I do not know her
But she is far from here
And it is time for me
To leave
My love,
Has been given away

A/N:
Did you make it all the way to here? Good Job! Personally i have a very short attention span and a poem of this length makes my eyes glaze over and my brain slump into numbness. Although I do apply discipline and when reading others works and force myself into focused patience so that I may take in the gems out there.
Anyhow, how did you like the poem? If it resonated please click that star, leave comment if you have thoughts you would like to share. And if you want credit in the Karma bank, share the poem with someone who might like it.
