Maple Tree

The thing about my love for you

Is how it seeps out

Of all my cracks

A simmering sweet secret

That cannot be held back

The chocolate of your kiss

That never did take place

Still lingers in my memory

A derivative of our embrace

And the thing about my thoughts for you

Is there magnificent simplicity

A Smile born on butterfly wings

With aloof yet friendly tenacity

On this I did not count

But by it I am blessed

And only unto my dreams

Do I dare let confess

And as I stitch my façade of reason

About my root and tasks

I find myself in yet another season

So fondly looking back

A/N:

I really hope you enjoyed that one.

So, I've noticed in reading other poets books that you can feel the chronology of them, like you have a window into their world and evolution.  For my poems you definitely have a window, but I have the chronology of them all scrambled, i just don't want to hit the reader over the head with anyone one event, emotion or theme too  much at once.  And maybe the scramble is also a way of exposing myself, but disguising my life at the same time.  In any event i hope you enjoy the kaleidoscope.

Live long and prosper,
