"Good morning, my love," Vasile said, kissing my hand. It was a bright and sunny morning and everyone was going to try the Italian styled breakfast that George and Ana had cooked. They both had to stand and watch everyone else eat and then eat the rest of the meal after we left. I felt bad for both of them. Imaging being a servant for eternity.

"Um good morning to you too," I said. "Where is your emo makeup? You look so different."

"Now that Felix is gone, I don't have to try to look different," Vasile explained. "I only dressed that way so that no one could confuse us."

"I see," was all I could say. "I'm going to miss your old look."

"Aurora, I got you a present," Vasile said, taking out a small box from his pocket. "I was at the mall, and I thought you would like this."

"Oh, you shouldn't have," I said, taking the box. I glanced at Ana, and she was glaring at me. I opened the box and gasped. Inside was a delicate necklace with a gold chain and a ruby stone.

"Wow, this must have been really expensive," I guessed.

"Of course it is," Vasile replied.

"Help me put it on," I said, removing my hair from my neck. Vasile places the necklace on my neck, and I blushed when his fingers lightly touched my skin. My brain was suddenly filled with the image of Vasile biting me, and my heart skipped a beat. What was wrong with me? This was Vasile, the annoying one of the family. But I couldn't help but want him to bite me...

"Sorry I'm late," Nicholae said, running to the room.

"That's alright, Kaito isn't here yet," Vasile responded.

"Nicholae, do you like my necklace?" I questioned. "Vasile gave it to me."

"He did?" Nicholae asked. "Because I got you a present too!"

"What?" I said.

"We may have gone shopping together," Vasile mumbled. Nicholae gave me a pouch, and it was a beautiful pearl necklace.

"This is gorgeous," I said, putting it on. "Thank you."

To show my gratitude, I kissed Nicholae on the cheek, and I heard Ana mumble, "What a slut."

The three of us started to eat, and the food actually tasted divine. After a few minutes, Kaito finally entered the room. He was wearing a long red robe, and his hair looked uncombed.

"Kaito, do you like the jewelry Nicholae and I bought for Aurora?" Vasile asked.

"I don't give a fuck," Kaito snapped.

"You don't have to be so rude!" Vasile yelled.

"It's ok, Vasile," I said. "Kaito doesn't understand what it means to buy gifts for someone you love."

Kaito glared at me. "George and Ana, I need both of you to give me an opinion about something," he commanded.

"What is it?" George and Ana asked at the same time, stepping towards Kaito. To everyone's shock, Kaito grabbed Ana and kissed her on the lips. Then he grabbed George and kissed him on the lips too!"

"What are you doing?!" George cried, his face actually red.

Kaito flashed me and arrogant smile, and I gulped.

"There is nothing more appealing than a servant offering their full service to their master," Kaito said, and he walked out of the breakfast room.

"Kaito is," Nicholae started.

"Such a savage," Vasile finished for him.

After breakfast, we had to attend Bora's and Daniel's funeral. Unfortunately, we didn't have either of their bodies, so we had to bury empty coffins with their names on it.

"I can't believe demons have funerals," I heard George whisper behind me.

"That's because they aren't demons," I said, turning to him.

"Whatever," Ana said. "I doubt your opinion is accurate anyways."

"Why?" I asked, looking at her. "Why are you so mean to me? I'm sorry your mother died, I really am. But my mother is engaged to the man who is the father of the Kinsbergs. I have no choice but to stay here."

"You could have run away, but you chose to stay with them," Ana explained. "And because of you, George and I were forced to turn into vampires!"

"I decided to stay, because they are lonely," I said. "I felt bad for them."

"They don't deserve pity," Ana said. "Admit it, you like having their attention! They buy you presents and treat you with love."

Ana had a point, I did like getting presents. I had been raised in a small apartment and never was able to get much of what I liked. But that wasn't the only reason. I had come to love the Kinsberg brothers, even if they were crazy.

"Which one of them are you with?" Ana asked.

"None of them," I replied.

"I hope they kill you," Ana said. "I hope they stab you in the back and make the rest of your life a living hill."

I tried to remain motionless, but tears were already starting to pour down my face.

"Remember when we first met?" I asked. "I was lost and couldn't speak couldn't understand anyone, because I couldn't speak Czech. But you helped me, and I didn't feel lonely anymore. I was scared living in a large mansion with six vampires, but I looked forward to meeting you again. You were so nice to me, even more than my friends in New York. Don't you think we have a chance to be like that again?"

"It was all an act, you stupid bitch," Ana said with a bitter laugh. "The moment you said where you live, I realized that you would make a valuable pawn. Our friendship was a lie if you didn't realize."

"That's horrible!" I cried, running away from the funeral, tears trickling down to my chin.
