Vasile let out a cry of horror. "I don't want to die!" Bora cried."He won't," Nicholae said, grabbing my hand in what seemed like fear.
"Run," I feebly muttered.
The four of us ran, leaving Felix, and we ran away from the castle. A car sped towards us.
"Get in!" Kaito cried, rolling down the window, "I'm sorry I wasn't able to get here sooner. For some reason my teleportation skills aren't working."
I sat next to Kaito in the front, and Vasile, Nicholae, and Bora sat back. Kaito slammed his foot on the accelerator, and dangerously sped away. My heart started pounding as we started pounding as we started to drive. I couldn't believe Ana betrayed me. I couldn't believe that Felix and Daniel had died in front of me. I couldn't even begin to process that I was going to see my mom who had been the one to abandon me in this physco town in the first place. Vasile was still sobbing, and it was weird to see him so sad.
"Kaito," I said breaking the silence, "Are you mad at me for ditching you?"
"I was," Kaito replied, "But I understand why you did it."
I was shocked. Kaito was being nice?
"They are going to ruin our house aren't they?" Bora asked.
"I'm afraid so," Kaito said, "All of our memories will be gone."
"Aurora, I never told you about how Felix and I died," Vasile said, sniffing.
"You want to tell me now?" I said, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
"A long time ago, Felix and I used to be identical twins," Vasile explained, "We both had short black hair and baby blue eyes. And we were both in love with this beautiful girl named Emma. Because of her, Felix and I used to fight a lot. One day we both received letters from Emma telling us to meet her next to a lake. When we went there, we found her dead, a couple of men immediately captured us. We were taken to the dungeon where our mother forced two soldiers to behead us. Then we woke up as vampires a few days after, and we were given cups of blood. We drank it only to realize that it was the blood of our beloved Emma!"
"That's horrible," I said, and Bora and Nicholae stared silently at their hands.
"I always thought that Felix and I would live in the shadows together forever," Vasile continued, "but I guess I wasn't lucky enough for even that."
"We are probably all going to die," Bora said. "I guess I will meet you all in hell. It was a nice two hundred years."
"We are not all going to die," Kaito snapped, "but maybe you will, Bora. You were always the weakest out of us."
"If we are going to die, then there is something I would like to know," Vasile said.
"What?" I asked.
"Aurora, do you like any of us?" Vasile asked, "and by that, I mean do you have a crush on any of us? I mean it's no secret that I have a crush on you."
"And I have a crush on you too," Nicholae said.
"Me too!" Bora cried, and Vasile kicked him.
"So do you?" Vasile asked. "You don't get to escape this time!"
"Um..." I said, my heart pounding fast. "I..."
Suddenly, Kaito slammed on the brake, and we all screamed, falling foreword.
"What the hell?" Vasile cried.
"Sorry," Kaito said, flashing an evil grin, "but we are at our destination."
"Oh wow," I said, walking out of the car. The mansion was as large as the Kinsberg castle, and it had a Roman vibe to it with its large white pillars.
"I'll show you to the main room," a butler said, walking out of the house. We nodded and followed him to a large room decorated in white sofas and weapons from the Dark Ages.
"Excuse me miss, but I'm going to help you change into a different outfit," a maid said to me. I looked down and noticed that my clothes were caked in mud and blood from my fall in the forest.
"Not that changing is going to help her look better," Kaito said with a laugh, and I glared at him. The maids took me to this fancy dressing room, and a couple of maids helped me clean up the wounds. They gave me a short white dress to wear with flowers printed all over it. They also gave me long knitted socks so that no one would see my wounds.
When I got back, I saw my mother, Ms. Stancy, glaring at me while Mr. Kinsberg was silently sipping his tea.
"You guys still haven't killed her yet?" Ms. Stancy asked.
"How could we? She is too beautiful," Nicholae said which made me blush.
"Is that a new phone?" Ms. Stancy asked, looking at the rose gold phone I was holding. "Did they seriously buy one for you?"
"That's right," Vasile said, "and I bought her a flat screen tv."
"You guys are spoiling her!" Ms. Stancy cried.
"What else are we supposed to do with the money we steal?" Bora asked.
"Asking her to live with you guys was a mistake," Ms. Stancy said.
"Then why did you?!" I cried. "Why did you abandon me?"
"Because I fell in love with a vampire, and I didn't want you to think that you had to live forever to be with me."
"Well it's too late, you old hag," Kaito said, walking towards her, "because now she wants to live forever. To be with us!"
"Excuse me?" Ms. Stancy asked. "Weren't you the pervert who was about to bite her during the grand ball?"
"I was only doing that to annoy you," Kaito hissed. "Plus, Aurora won't admit it, but she is in love with me. I could taste it in her blood."
"If that's the truth, then maybe I should let you both share a room," Mr.Kinsberg said.
"What?!" my mom and I yelled at the same time.
"That's a great idea," Kaito said. "Thanks, father."
"What are you doing?" Ms. Stancy hissed.
"What?" Mr. Kinsberg asked. "In 200 years, this is the first time I've seen Kaito interested in a girl."
"But we are going to get married, dear," Ms. Stancy said. "They are going to become step siblings."
"But they aren't yet," Mr. Kinsberg protested, and Ms. Stancy lowered her head to her hands.
I noticed Vasile walking away from the room. Where was he going? I decided to follow him.
