Wow, this story has already reached 1k reads. I am honestly surprised that it ever reached this far, and it makes me happy^^

It was a bright and sunny day in the Kinsberg castle. The flowers were blooming, the paint was fresh, and all the furniture was new. In the courtyard, all of the boys were playing tag, except for one.

"Kaito, don't you want to play with us?" Nicholae asked.

"No, I'm fine," Kaito replied, "I'm writing this poem about this castle."

"You are so boring," Daniel said, grabbing Kaito's journal from his hand.

"Give that back," Kaito protested.

"No way," Daniel said, pushing Kaito.

"Daniel, stop bullying Kaito," a threatening voice commanded, walking into the courtyard. It was their mother. Today, she was wearing a violet dress with a black choker and heavy make-up.

"I'm sorry," Daniel said, giving Kaito back his journal.

"Also, Kaito why are you skipping your classes?" their mom demanded.

"Because I want to be a writer, not the next governor!" Kaito cried.

"You have the most potential out of your brothers," she said icily, "However, if you decide to fail me, then you are nothing but trash. And do you know what I do with trash?"

"You let them be killed by wolves," Kaito said with a sigh.

"That's right, so you better get back to your classes," his mom said, "I don't want to have to allow that to happen to you."

Kaito nodded, running back to the mansion. He knew that one day his chance to escape would come. How had he been born in such a terrible world, he did not know. He wished he had been born in a cottage instead of that lonely castle. What if he was going to be stuck there forever? That was his worst fear in the world!

---

"Have you heard about the term 'vampire'?" Kaito's mom asked one day, "Just imagine if you were one. You would have all the power in the world."

"I don't want power, though," Kaito said, "I don't care about money or even the ugly castle."

Kaito's mom slapped him hard, and Kaito gasped, falling to the floor.

"Look at you, so weak and pathetic," she said, "If you were immortal then this wouldn't happen. We would be the rulers of the world."

"What are you saying?" Kaito asked, tears falling down his face, "I don't want to be immortal; it is just wrong! I want to be a writer, and I hope to have my own family one day. If I am a vampire, I can't even have kids!"

Kaito got down on his knees. "Please, don't make me turn into one," he pleaded.

"Don't be ridiculous, turning into a vampire is impossible," his mom said, stroking his hair, "You are such a handsome and talented young boy. Why would I want to take that away from you?"

"Thank you," Kaito said.

"Which is why I'm sorry," she said. All of a sudden, two guards burst into the room and grabbed Kaito.

"What are you doing?" Kaito asked, trying to pull away.

"You will thank me afterwards," she said. Kaito struggled to escape as they dragged him across the house, but they were too strong for him. They opened up a window and threw him from it. He screamed and found himself hitting water. He immediately tried to swim upwards, but his boots were too heavy. He tried to take them off, but it was stuck! Panic seized Kaito, and he knew he was going to die. He was going to die in a lonely and dark location with no one around him. He hoped that no one would find his body. He couldn't believe his mother had betrayed him but-

Kaito's lungs burst apart, and he wasn't able to finish his thoughts as his body fell into eternal darkness.

"Why isn't he walking up?" Kaito's mom demanded, pounding on Kaito's glass coffin.

"Maybe he is just dead," her friend said, "Are you sure that vampires exist?"

"Yes!" she screamed, "I want all of my sons killed! At least one of them should turn into a vampire!"

One by one, Daniel, Felix, Vasile, Nicholae, and Bora were killed. They all woke up a few days later, but Kaito still hadn't woken up.

All of my children are fools except Kaito their mom thought They all blindly follow me, without question. Even after I killed them! Even Felix who claims to be smart is no different!

"Ugh, why isn't Kaito waking up!" she cried one dinner, "It has been two weeks! I only killed him, because I needed him to get more power! It's almost like he is mocking me, saying he won't turn into a vampire."

"Miss, I think he is waking up!" a maid cried, running into the room.

"Oh my god," she said, running into the room where Kaito was and took out the glass top. Kaito's eyes opened, and they looked dark red now, unlike the soft green they used to be.

"Isn't it great?" she asked, "Now you can have all the power in the world!"

Kaito jumped up and immediately bit her on the neck. His mom screamed. "What are you doing?!" she screamed, blood falling into her new white dress.

"I'm going to fucking kill you," he snapped, "Because you took my life away, you fucking bitch."

"Why are you cussing at me?" she cried, "Aren't you happy that you are immortal now?"

"Shut up!" Kaito cried, and before he could bite her again, she threw garlic at his face. Kaito screamed as the garlic started to burn his face like molten rock. She took this opportunity to run away. Blood fell on the floor every step she took, and due to all the pain, it took her forever to walk down the stairs to the main hallway. By the time she reached the bottom, Kaito was already at the top of the stairs.

"Kaito, please stop," she whispered. Kaito laughed, an evil laugh that filled the room.

"You made my life a living hell," he said, "You tortured me, you killed me. And now you are going to pay!"

She screamed as he ran down the stairs and tore her head off from her body!

"Kaito, what did you do?! Daniel cried, running into the room, and the rest of the siblings followed him.

Kaito shrugged. "Don't tell me you guys supported that bitch," he said, "And now that she's dead, I guess you guys have to follow me."

"There's no way I'm going to follow my younger brother!" Daniel cried, "Especially not someone as weak and pathetic like you!"

Kaito grabbed their mom's head by the hair and yelled, "Do I really look weak and pathetic to you?! Because I swear that if you don't obey me, then I will kill you! If I can kill my own mother, then I can definitely kill you!"

Bora started to cry. "Ok, ok," Daniel said, sweat pouring down his face, "I'll follow you. No hard feelings, right?"

Kaito growled and threw the head at Daniel. Daniel screamed and ran the other direction.

"You guys are pathetic," Kaito said.

Kaito lit a large fire the next day, and they all placed their mother's body in it. Kaito then grabbed every single journal he had written in before and started to throw it in the fire as well.

"What are you doing?!" Vasile cried.

"Getting rid of the old me," Kaito said, "He is dead."

"I don't understand, you are free now," Nicholae said, "You can be a writer now and live in a cottage like you want to. You don't have to stay here anymore."

A single tear fell down Kaito's face. "Villages are based on love and trust," he said, "A vampire like me doesn't belong there anymore; I would just kill them all."

They all watched in silence as the fire consumed everything inside of it, knowing that nothing would ever be the same again.
