"So..." I said, staring at my cup of beer. "Do you guys drink often?"
After Mr.Kinsberg had killed Bora, he had just disappeared. When the paralysis left us, we searched the whole house for him, and during that time, my mom managed to disappear as well. Annoyed and disappointed, we walked out of the mansion and into a nightclub. There was college students laughing and dancing everywhere. Not exactly an ideal place to go right after your little brother died.
"Only when I want to forget something," Kaito said, chugging down his glass.
"Kaito's right, Aurora," Vasile said. "The pain will go away when you drink."
"Too bad it's only temporary," Nicholae said, but he was drinking his cup of beer while he said it. I had never drank alcohol in my life, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to start.
"How's your hand?" Vasile asked. He had given me some of his blood which magically healed most of my wound.
"Good," I replied, taking out a sip of the beer. I almost choked. It tasted disgusting.
"I wish Daniel was here," Kaito said. "I miss his rude comments. I can't really be the leader now that there are only three of us."
"I wish Felix was here," Vasile said. "It feels so wrong not seeing my other half. Plus, now we can make fun of someone for being nerdy."
"And I wish Bora was here," Nicholae said. "Now I'm the youngest!"
Somehow I managed to drink more of the beer, and before i knew it, I had finished my cup. I was already beginning to feel lightheaded, and I felt the urge to do something reckless.
"Hey, let's dance." Vasile blurted out.
"Let's do it," Kaito said, and I felt a bit excited. Kaito dancing? Now, this I had to see. The four of us made it to the dance floor, and Kaito, Vasile, and Nicholae were dancing super close to me.
"Um guys, can I have some space?" I asked.
"No," they all said at the same time.
"Hey Kaito," a girl with long chestnut hair said, walking towards us. "Long time no see."
"Mary, what are you doing here?" Kaito slurred.
"Who is that girl?" Mary asked, frowning at me.
"Our girl," Vasile said, putting his arms around me. "Which you will never be."
"You guys are assholes," Mary snapped, storming away.
"Is she a vampire?" I questioned.
"Yeah, she was one of Kaito's one night stands," Nicholae said as if it was completely normal. I couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy towards Mary.
A boy wearing a baggy sweater with the hood covering his face walked towards us. The song immediately turned into a slow romantic song, and he extended his arm towards me.
"May I have this dance?" he asked.
"No," Kaito replied.
"Yes," I said, ignoring Kaito. My curiosity was taking over. Just who was this person? We both walked to the corner of the dance floor. The boy took off the hood to show his brownish blondish hair and pale blue eyes.
"George?!" I cried. What was Ana's brother doing here? Was Ana close by too?
"Shhh!" George said. "We can't let anyone hear."
"What are you doing here?" I asked, the image of George killing Daniel fresh in my mind.
"I came by to warn you," George said, frantically. "I only helped Ana in bringing revenge towards the vampire that killed our mother. But she is obsessed with killing the rest of the Kinsbergs, including you. You have to run away. All of you."
"Ana would just hunt me down," I said. "Wouldn't it be better to just get rid of her?"
"No!" George cried. "You can't kill my sister. She is the only family I have left. But I think she has lost her mind."
"So what can we do?" I asked. "Why can't you just take her to a mental hospital?"
"I was going to, but she ran away," George said. "I think she is looking for you. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go. Please listen to my warning, Aurora please. Or you will be doomed!"
