This is a sappy one. Enjoy :)
The warmth of the summer
Seeps through my skin
The aroma of ripening mangoes
Wafts all around me
Beneath the shades of trees,
We play, and you win
As we run like the wind through
The grassy fields, I feel free
Touching your lips to mine, I smile,
As I taste your strawberry ice cream
Stay with me now, as I sigh,
Remembering those days gone by
Clutching your hands, counting the stars,
Everything felt like a beautiful dream
Now no more than a memory,
A distant call, a distant cry
I remember those summer nights
Looking deep in your eyes
All the funny games, all the silly fights
Gazing at sunset, and at star rise
I remember those summer nights
A warm embrace in my cold life
The part of my life filled with lights
Full of joy, and full of smiles
Drifting with the passing clouds,
All those days, all those nights,
All those laughter, all those tears,
All those moments, all left behind
Falling with the monsoon rains,
All those afternoons, all those evenings,
All those dawns, all those twilights,
All those memories, all flowing away
Still, they remain, beating with my heart,
Breathing with my breath, coming in my dreams
Still, I remember, those summer nights,
Your beautiful smiles, and the depth of your love
Clutching your hands, counting the stars,
Everything felt like a beautiful dream
Now no more than a memory,
A distant call, a distant cry
I remember those summer nights
Looking deep in your eyes
All the funny games, all the silly fights
Gazing at sunset, and at star rise
I remember those summer nights
A warm embrace in my cold life
The part of my life filled with lights
Full of joy, and full of smiles...
IKR! THIS IS MY SAPPIEST POEM! Did you like it? I will write one more poem about memories, but it's negative side. This is the positive side of memories.
