Don't be so sad,

I'll take care of you,

Make sure you won't feel bad

To rub away till your tears dry

But however hard I try, I can't

Because you look out sad and wistfully

At the other birds in the sky

All this time I had thought of me,

But now, smile, as I open your cage,

And finally set you free...

This poem is a metaphor for relationships that make you feel suffocated, that make you feel that you are in some kind of cage. There is one person who is controlling the relationship, and the other person has to listen to everything the person in control says. That's wrong. They should realize that everyone has a freedom to choose, a freedom to form their own opinion.

This is also inspired by my overprotective parents, sometimes the rules are hard to obey and you only want to be free. But freedom... it's really hard for me to find.
