Chapter 14

Ariana's POV

I was kinda disappointed that Zayn wouldn't sit with me, but I had my new friends to talk to. 

"Zayn not sitting here?" asked Daniella who was sitting at our usual table.

"Nope. But we agreed to hang out tomorrow." Everyone went aww. But it was cut short, because everyone got quietly all of the sudden. That could only mean one thing. I turned around and saw that Perrie and her crew were walking. Walking towards me.

"Hello Ariana." greeted Perrie, in a cheerful tone. It was strange.

"What do you want?" I asked her.

"As we can see, Zayn is talking to his band, and so is his annoying roommate, Jay. I decided to apologize for what I did, and start fresh. I know it's last minute, but we want you to come to a sleepover in my room. You're part of our group now." said Perrie in a happy voice. She had a smile on her face. So did the rest of the girls. Her apology seemed sincere.

"Alright, I forgive you." I told her.

"Yay! Why don't you come sit with us?" added Leigh-Anne. That is the first time I heard her talk. I looked at all my friends. They nodded.

"Sure." I said. I grabbed my tray, and walked to their table. No one was sitting there. NOBODY would dare to sit there.

"You must know I'm REALLY sorry for every bitchy thing I've done and said to you." said Perrie as we sat down.

"And we're sorry for backing up every bitchy thing she's done and said to you." added Jesy. Again, first time I ever heard her talk. We laughed at Jesy's comment.

"So, do you want us to wait for you when you get your stuff?" asked Jade.

"That would be awesome!" I said. We finished our dinner, and went straight to my room. I shut the door. Liz was already there.

"You're not REALLY going to Perrie's sleepover, are you?" asked Liz.

"Of course. Why not?" I asked her, stuffing things into my bag.

"Don't you think it's weird Perrie is nice to you all of the sudden?" Liz did have a point.

"Maybe she turned a new leaf." I said optimistically.

"Please, give me a break." Liz responded.

"Do you have to be so negative about everything?" I yelled at her. Liz looked startled. I was too. I barely ever yell at people.

"Well, anyway, I'll see you tomorrow." I said, and stormed out the door.

"You ready?" Perrie asked.

"All set!" I replied. Perrie's room was in the next hall; no need to take the elevator. She opened the door to her room. There was a pink carpet, and one bed was purple, the other zebra print. The wall was white, but you could barely tell, it was covered in pictures and posters.

"I told my roommate, Mckenzie, if she would please stay somewhere else, and she agreed, so the room is ours." said Perrie. Jade, Jesy, and Leigh-Anne's stuff was already there. I dropped my stuff on the floor.

"I set sleeping bags for all of us. And I also set out snacks!" called out Perrie. We walked to where the sleeping bags were, and in a circle was a bowl full of different snacks. I was getting suspicious. What was Perrie up to?

We chose a sleeping bag. We were in this order, going counterclockwise; Perrie, me, Leigh-Anne, Jesy, and Jade.

"So, Ari, what are you doing tomorrow after school?" asked Jesy. Should I say it? Would Perrie get mad?

"Well, I'm actually hanging out with Zayn. But it's for our project, nothing more." I glanced at Perrie. She smiled.

"I understand. Everything between you and Zayn is strictly professional." YEah right.

"And besides, I shouldn't be jealous, we're friends now!" Perrie reached out and hugged me. I felt awkward. The last time Perrie touched me was in geometry class, where she pinched my arm, and said, "Now it's red, like your hair."

"Hey, let's play a game." said Jesy. We listened. She continued.

"It's like Never Have I Ever, but instead it's I Have. And if you've done it, you eat your least favorite snack."

"Cool." We said.

"Alright, I go first." Jade replied. "I have...had sex." Jesy and Perrie reached for a snack.

"Jesy! I'm surprised!" Leigh-Anne yelled at her.

"I'm not surprised about Perrie though." Jesy said.

"What can I say? I'm a bad ass." Perrie replied. We laughed.

"OK, me next. I have...been in a musical production." said Leigh-Anne. I reached in.

"Really?" went Perrie. 

"Yeah, I was in Broadway, no big deal." The girls smirked. Jesy went next.

"I have...a crush on a dude in our class." We all began to eat.

"Logan Henderson." said Leigh-Anne.

"WHAT? That boy looks like such a goody-two-shoes." said Jesy.

"Ed Sheeran." went Jade.

"C'mon, that boy is so stupid, it's laughable." Perrie inputted. We laughed.

"Nathan Sykes." Jesy said.

"Well, he's not ugly." Jade replied.

"I think we all know who." Perrie said.

"What about you, Ari?" asked Jade. They all stared at me. They demanded an answer. I had one. I couldn't lie. I took a deep breath.

"Zayn Malik." They still looked at me. No one said a word.

"OK, sleepover is over! Time to sleep!" yelled Perrie all of the sudden. No one argued. We all got inside our sleeping bags, and turned of the lights.

I slept, but I woke up about 10 minutes later, thinking about what I said. I stood up, and saw that Jade, Jesy, and Leigh-Anne were sleeping. I also saw that Perrie wasn't in hers. I sat up, and saw she was in her bed, writing something in a notebook.

"Perrie, what are you doing?" I whispered to her. She dropped her notebook and pen on her bed, almost scared.

"Nothing.

Nothing.

At.

All."

What could've Perrie been writing in her notebook? And why is she being nice all of the sudden? And why did she end the sleepover early? These questions and more will be answered in the next chapter (or in later ones), so keep on reading!!!
