Chapter 13

I am SO glad people want to read this story!!! You guys inspire me, so here is the next chapter, this is longer than the rest, BTW.

Chapter 13

Ariana's POV

I ran to my room, nearly screaming my head off. I would see him again at dinner, and we would feel awkward. We were suppose to be partners, not in love with each other.

I finally made it to my room, opened the door, and slammed it shut. Liz looked up to look at me.

"What's wrong with you?" she asked.

"I-I-I almost kissed Zayn." I said, all out of breath. Liz's jaw dropped.

"Shut up! Are you serious? Why didn't you guys kiss?" Liz said, pulling me to her bed, so I could sit and tell her more.

"Because when our lips were about to touch, Jay, Zayn's roommate, came in, and ruined everything." I told her. Liz sighed.

"Well, sorry you didn't get your kiss. But you have tomorrow. Amybe it will happen then. C'mon, let's go to dinner." Liz was right. She usually always is. I'll meet Zayn at dinner, and we'll be able to talk about tomorrow. All should go perfectly well. It should, shouldn't it?

Zayn's POV

Jay and I walked into the cafeteria for dinner. I hoped Ariana was there, but she wasn't. The only people in her table were Victoria, Matt, and Daniella. Perrie and her friends weren't there either. Jay had already gotten his lunch, and sat down with some of the guys from his band group project. Maybe I should sit with the guys from my group. I saw Harry and Louis were there, but no Ed. I made my way to their table.

"Look, it's Zayn." said Louis, all spontaneously.

"You should sit with us." added Harry. I was going to sit with them, even without their permission.

"So, what brings you here?" asked Harry.

"I thought we should sit together, since we're in the same group." I told them.

"Yeah, that's a good idea. We should invite the other guys. Hey, there they are!" Louis pointed at the line. It was Niall and Liam, waiting for their food.

"Neil! William! Sit here!" yelled Harry as soon as they got their food. I decided not to tell Harry he got  their names wrong, he would eventually learn them. They walked over to us.

"Hello!" greeted Niall. Liam waved. We greeted them back.

"So, why did you yell at us to sit here?" asked Liam.

"It was Zayn's idea to sit together, since we're gonna be a band now." replied Louis. They turned to me. I nodded.

"I know you're probably tired of hearing this, but can you fill us in about you and Perrie?" Niall asked me. I sighed. I WAS tired of it.

"I DON'T like her. I'm honestly SICK of her. And I've only known her for 2 days." I said. Everyone nodded.

"So, if you don't like Perrie, do you like someone else?" asked Louis. Was he serious? I wasn't planning on telling strangers my shit.

"Let's make a deal. I'll tell you who I like, but you guys have to confess too."

"Deal." They all said. I took a deep breath.

"I like...Ariana Grande."

"Ahh, the fake red head."

"The girl your girlfriend hates."

"She's pretty."

"No, bro, she's HOT."

"Alright guys, it's your turn." I told them, trying to quiet them down. I don't want the whole cafeteria to hear them.

No one said anything. They just stared at each other. Niall sighed, and began to talk.

"The girl I like is..she's in our class. She's a girl. And she's pretty."

"Just say it already!" Louis screamed at him.

"Fine! I like Demi!" He screamed at us.

"The fake blonde."

"She's in the group with the other hotties."

 "Well, she's not ugly."

"I think she's fat."

Niall gasped at what Louis said. He hit Louis on his arm.

"She's not fat, she's perfect!" 

"Well, since Niall confessed, I like this girl I met in the rec room during free period. She's a dancer." said Liam.

"Ooh!" we went.

"Her name is Danielle. She's part Guyanese."

"Cool. So, she's Asian?" asked Harry. Liam gave him a look.

"Do you like anyone, Harry?" I asked him.

"No, not really."

"is it because you like Louis?" Niall asked. Both Harry and Louis gasped.

"I don't like Louis! That would make me gay. Besides, Louis fancies someone." Harry turned to him.

"It's true. I went to the mall with some guys yesterday, and met a girl at Hollister there. Her name is Eleanor, and we got each others numbers." We were starting to be friends. We told each other random stuff. I even told them about practice earlier today with Ariana, and our "kiss."

"Hey, look, there she is now!" called out Harry. Ariana and Liz were walking inside the cafeteria. I waved at her. She waved back.

"Excuse me for one second." I told the guys, and ran up to Ari. 

"Hey, listen, I can't sit with you right now, but we can hang out tomorrow after school. Sounds cool?" I asked her. She nodded.

"Well, see ya." I told her, and ran back to my table.

"Well?" asked Liam.

"It's set. We're hanging out tomorrow after school." The boys cheered.

"Aww, you're gonna be together forever." said Niall.

"You know how celebrity couples have those mash up names? Yours would be Zariana." added Louis.

Yes, if things worked out, we would be Zariana. But, sometimes, things aren't meant to be.
