40. Summer at Last

Nikki's POV:
I'm sitting on the train looking out the window. I have so many things on my mind right now. What if Fred doesn't like my hair? Or what if he finds out about the other part of me?

" Nikki it will be fine..." Jay says. Dammit she was in my head.

"I'd advise you to stay out of my head or I'll start thinking of things you wouldn't want to see." I say looking over at her glaring slightly.

" Ok!" She says putting up her hands. " I need to get my sketch pad..." Jay says getting up. She reaches up and that's when I notice. She's showing. I decide not to say anything and look out my window. I bite my lip. I'm still worried about what Fred will think. " He'll think it looks fine..." Jay says. " Sorry but your thoughts are loud..." she adds. I clench my jaw and think about my birthday. Maybe this will stop her from listening to my thoughts. Jay just giggles. " Daddy really?" She asks laughing. I groan and stand up. I walk out of the compartment. Jay follows. " Look I'm sorry... Are you ok?" She asks.

"I'm just... Irritated. I've been fighting her off every night. I'm exhausted... I'm stressed... And most of all I've missed Fred so much." I say tears threatening to spill.

" We have about ten minutes until you see him... And it will be easier to fight her off with Fred sexing you up..." She says.

"But what about after, Jay? She can take full control whenever she wants. Then she's going to hurt all of you. She's going to kill everyone I care about." I say biting my lip. Jay sighs and pushes some of her blonde hair out of her face.

" It will all be fine..." She says wrapping her arms around me. The train stops. She grabs my hand. I realize she has our trunks. Next thing I know we're outside grimwald place. " He's in here..."She says pulling out her key. She walks up and unlocks the door. I pull up the hood on my sweatshirt pushing some of my hair behind it. Jay opens the door.

" Mommy! Momma!" Sirius exclaims walking towards us. He stumbles slightly but catches himself. Jay swoops him into her arms. Everyone was waiting for us in the entrance hall. " Hey buddy..." Jay says. " Mommy got fat..." Sirius says. Jay's face goes into a look of horror. My eyes go wide and I bite my lip looking down so the edges of my hair don't show. I wait for someone to say something.

" Sirius that isn't very nice..." Claire says.

" No Claire it's fine... He's right..." Jay says.

"Kids..." I say giggling awkwardly. "They say crazy things sometimes..." I say not looking up.

" Nikki you don't need to lie..." Jay says. Claire raises an eyebrow.

"What is she lying about?" Claire asks.

" Um well..." Jay starts. That's when Ced walks in the front door.

" Sorry I'm late I had to..." He stops when he sees everyone's look of confusion. Especially Harry's.

"What's going on?" Harry asks. Jay's eyes widen. Harry was the one she was scared about telling. He didn't know she and Ced were still together.

" Um.." Jay says. I would say something but I keep my mouth shut. As much as I want to take the attention off her I don't want it on me either. I think about it for a second. I've got to stop being selfish.

"We'll talk about it later... We just walked in the door..." I say and grab Jay's hand leading her upstairs. Jay sets Sirius down.

" I'll be right back!" She says and bolts to the restroom. I hear her vomit. Claire comes up the steps and raises an eyebrow when she hears the sound. I bite my lip as I pull my hood over my head a bit more. I walk to the bathroom. Jay just finishes up as I walk in. She wipes some sweat from her forehead. She looks up at me.
