"Brutally handsome with a violent streak, he's no good for me"
Who knew that a Henderson could make or break Hawkins new resident bad-boy.

Steve and I walked down the hall toward our lockers.
"So, have you spoken to Nancy?" I asked as I grabbed books from my locker.
"No, I have not," Steve replied, his tone exasperated.
"Well, relationships are complicated," I said, shutting my locker. "Maybe think about that before getting involved with a younger girl."
Steve slammed his locker shut. "Look, I like her," he argued.
"And right now, I'm not much of a fan of her," I shot back.
Steve opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say anything, the principal's voice boomed through the hall.
"Danica Henderson! My office, now."
I glanced at Steve, puzzled. "What could I have possibly done this early in the morning?" I muttered, rolling my eyes.
When I stepped into Principal Hemmings' office, I immediately spotted the attractive California boy from the parking lot, sitting casually in a chair.
"Sir?" I questioned.
"We have a new student, and I'd like you to show William Hargrove here around—"
"It's Billy," the boy interjected, groaning.
I couldn't help but giggle at his annoyance. Principal Hemmings had this habit of calling people by their full names, no matter how often he was corrected.
"Sir, I have class," I started, hoping to avoid the task.
"And I figured you wouldn't mind getting a free pass from a class or two," he said, handing me a handwritten excuse note.
I smirked as I took the pass. "Come on, William," I teased, emphasizing his name.
He chuckled and got up, following me out of the office.
"So, Danica," he said, his voice smooth.
I cringed at how comfortable he sounded saying my name. "William," I replied, a smirk tugging at my lips.
He laughed, a low, cocky sound. "It's Billy, babe," he corrected, his tone brimming with the same swagger he'd had earlier.
"Don't call me babe," I said without even glancing at him.
"So, I hear you're the queen around here," Billy said, his voice dripping with charm.
I didn't dignify him with a real response, just a noncommittal "mhmm" as I continued walking.
"Don't be like that, babe," he pressed.
I ignored him, knowing full well that he was smirking that stupid, smug grin of his.
"Can't you see I'm ignoring you?" I said casually as I scanned his schedule, marking it up.
"Babygirl," he drawled, "you couldn't ignore me if you tried."
I stopped abruptly, turning to face him. He was biting his lip, staring at me in that cocky, infuriating way.
"Look, Cali, I already have you all figured out," I said, crossing my arms over my chest without realizing I was giving him a bit of a show.
"Oh yeah? How so?" he asked, clearly intrigued.
"You're the new kid from California. A bad boy with a pretty face and a hot body, looking for girls to mess around with," I stated matter-of-factly.
I stepped closer, glaring up at him despite the height difference. "But you're not getting me," I finished, jabbing my finger into his chest with every word.
He chuckled, clearly amused. "Well, I guess we'll have to see about that."
"I guess we will," I shot back, standing my ground.
The bell rang, and the hall filled with students rushing out of their classrooms.
"Hey, Danica, come to my party tonight," Tina called, handing me a flyer for her Halloween party.
"Oh, and you can come too," she added, smiling coyly at Billy as she handed him a flyer.
"Thanks, Tina," I said. "Bye, Cali."
I turned on my heels and walked off toward my next class, leaving him standing there with that same smug grin plastered on his face.
