Once Barry got out of the lair, he rushed straight for Star Labs to find Jesse and her team. Barry informed them all of what was happening. Dennis then looking for a record of Eris/Surge on the records.

"Eris Arpazio, known for breaking and entering, massive heist, and multiple counts of homicide. Did a job with Hunter before Zoom and Fake Flash showed up, but after that gone," Dennis told the team.

"But why show up now, and how does she have speed?" Jesse asked.

"Well she said she had been in Zoom's shadow too long earlier, and I am assuming the syringe Murmur gave her was some of Zoom's leftover Velocity 9," Barry answered. "The thing is I'm assuming she doesn't know how harmful it is, she had a bunch of it when she took me and Frost."

"Do you have any idea why she only took you two, though?" Dennis asked.

"Well, unless knew who I was during Zoom's reign, she probably took me cause another, unfamiliar, Speedster could pose a threat. As for Frost, they've got some old history.." Barry responded.

"K, well if Surge is taking Velocity 9, it is going to deteriorate her body anyways, isn't it," Harry said, remembering the Trajectory incident.

"Yes, but how about all the damage she does in the meantime?" Jesse added.

Barry eagerly tapped his finger against his desk. He wanted to get home, to Caitlin, to be done with God Speed, he even wanted to help Frost. "Well, we can't just wait. She'll probably wait for us to make a move, and in the meantime recruit an army of metas, like Murmur. We need to make her run, tire her till the Velocity 9 side effects hit her."

"How about a classic head to head race," Mara suggested, "races in Atlantis were common, the person who swam across the finish line first was always celebrated in victory. The loser, not so much."

"That sounds good," Dennis commented, "Jesse, you can trick her into racing with you across the city, and the rest of us can put obstacles in her way to slow her down, forcing her to use more speed."

"Sounds like a plan," Jesse said, "Let's go."

..........................
"C'mon Surge!" Jesse taunted, "Zoom was never afraid of a little race! You scared?"

"Not at all, Quick," she said, giving herself another dose of Velocity 9 before they both began running around the town.

Jesse was fast, but with the Velocity 9 in Surge's system, her lightning became a lighter blue as she ran faster.

As the two female speedsters ran through an alleyway, Dennis signaled through the comms, "Bricks." Soon a massive pile of bricks and rock fell down from the top of the building into the thin alleyway just as Surge past. Going too fast to stop so abruptly, she phased through the bricks, her lightning reaching a lighter shade of blue. Harry did the same trick on Surge, just with a dumpster and his industrial powered electromagnets, again making her use more speed by phasing.

Stopping at a corner, Surge stopped bending down holding herself on her knees panting.

"You're tired? And you call yourself a speedster?!" Jesse continued to taunt.

Beginning to catch her breath, she pulled out another syringe, shooting it into his arm. "That's better," she said.

"You gonna let me have any fun?" Barry through the comms, waiting on the sidelines.

"Sure, just this time," Jesse joked before running away in a cloud of lightning.

When Surge looked back at where Quick was, she was now replaced with Barry.
